Shark Evo-One 2 Lithion - Dual Black / Red
Customer Product Reviews
This is a great bit of kit. It looks good, feels good, has a great sharp safety rating. The fact it can be used as both an open Face and closed helmet is exactly what I was looking for. I'm a medium and It's a tighter fit than my other helmets, but this is a good thing. First time I tried it on it was very tight and I thought I might return it but after wearing for an hour or so it's much more comfortable and feels much safer and lighter than my previous helmets. I would highly recommend.
Well done shark
Always have shark helmets and they have now sorted all the previous problems with the Evo range with this one great color better than the online picture, feels quality, quite for a flip lid, and as usual with shark a great fit and comfortable for the long trips
Best Evo yet
This is my 3rd Shark helmet, 2 Evoline (s2, then s3) and now an Evo-One and each one gets better and better The pinlock and fullsized inset is spot on as is the auto visor up when you move the chin bar. The sizing seems a little tighter then the Series3 so if your existing helmet is tight then you might want to try one on to see if you need to go up a size. Haven't fitted the intercom yet so can't comment on that, but I've never had problems with Shark removal lining/padding previously so am not expecting an problems. I ride a Harley with LAF pipes so not really in a position to comment on the wind noise, etc. Got a winning price from Sportsbikeshop and delivery was next day and the delivery packing was really excellent so absolutely no concerns about damage in transit. All in all a fab buy
Having ridden several hundred miles, I confidently feel I can leave an appropriate review of this helmet. I originally purchased a Evoline 3 but without a pinlock and no auto up and down I didn't get on with it so decided to swap for the one-2 sportsbikeshop refunded me without question excellent customer service. I have found that the noise level on this is better than my old Schuberth C2 and the wind buffeting as I ride a naked bike is significantly better. My C2 I couldn't do above 70 without feeling it in my neck after a short while. But this helmet sits pretty at 100 and above before feeling the same level of buffeting. So a daily commute sitting at 70-80 is very comfortable. Highly recommend the helmet and sportsbikeshop.
This was a replacement for an evo one that the pinlock kept falling out of. Only had it a few weeks and it's already been back to SHARK with the same issue. Also I've had to re glue the visor seal back on several times as well. The helmet is a great idea and I love the fact that you can turn it into an open face lid when required. In practice though the build quality is average and it's a wee bit noisy. Let me add this is no reflection on SBS who have been superb as always.
Very good helmet. Shark have done well for a change and have made something functional and practical. The wind noise is very low and I feel no wind buffering at all. Well built and comfortable. My only issue is the opening around the chin that allows more breeze than I would like. However this shouldn't detract from a great lid with litany if great features. The reviews all said that you need two hands to close the flip front, this isn't true. If you press I. The middle of the flip you can lock it into place with practice. Would recommend
Recently ordered a new helmet for my wife. Unfortunately we got our sizing wrong, despite measuring. No problem with Sportsbikeshop Ltd. Quickly arranged a return and exchange for the correct size. Fantastic service, and fast. Buy with confidence with Sportsbikeshop Ltd. The helmet is superb, and now fits brilliantly.
Welcome back to a Shark
My first helmet back in 1993 was a shark, and it was and as always been my favourite helmet. I've had Arai, and Shoei helmets since, but I've always compared them to my first Shark helmet, that was more comfortable and quieter than everything since. So I've just bought my latest helmet and I've gone back to a Shark as they now do a flip helmet, which I preferred for touring. And I'm pleased to say that it's very comfortable and very quite and even though I've only been out on my husbands bike for two trips I'm really impressed with it so far.
I wanted a flip up lid for the summer months to stay cooler and hopefully look stylish with may shades on cruising through the countryside. Now I'm not sure about the stylish bit but I am cooler and the flip over action is smooth and easier to use whilst riding with gloves on. Really happy with it and the Sharktooth set I had on my other lid has easily been transferred over. As always SBS were fantastic, delivered next day before noon.
Noisy and uncomfortable.
Was looking for a flip front helmet with a drop down sun visor. Plenty of good reviews and as I already own another Shark helmet which is really comfortable, I thought I would give this a go. Usually, a size Large is a good comfortable fit in any make of helmet for me, but this particular lid is a tight fit with lots of pressure from the cheek pads. I also find it to be very uncomfortable on my ears when removing the helmet. The mechanism to release the chin bar is fiddly and does not seem to be of solid construction, so not convinced this will last long before giving trouble. On the plus side, the drop down sun visor is good and peripheral vision is excellent. Just not the right fit for me but perhaps it will get better in time.
Excellent, well worth the cost
I've been buying reasonable priced helmets for the last decade, decided to spend a lot more for this one, due to the great reviews. WELL WORTH the investment, comfortable, cool (in the recent heatwave) and great sound quality through the headset (boom audio on Harley). Highly recommended.
Arrived in perfect condition and on time as per SBS invoice. I have only used the helmet on four occasions to date and it was initially a little tight but has soon become easier to get on / off. The lift / over chin guard is still awkward to use, maybe newness? The clip does not engage smoothly when opening or closing, it takes a couple of attempts every time its used. Rubber section on the bottom of the chin guard is now loose and requires sticking back, minor issues I can work with. Overall I am happy with my choice. One issue - they should be supplied with Pinlock visor ready to install if required. Essential piece of kit that should be with the helmets, not an added extra.
Very quiet on un-faired bike, slightly louder on my fared bike, very comfortable. Get a couple of drops of water on inside of visor in heavy rain but nothing excessive. Ventilation is excellent - my glasses didn't steam up at 0 degrees or in rain. Service from Sportsbikeshop is excellent.
Excellent helmet, excellent service
Bought a Shark Evo-One 2 crash helmet and it arrived the next day. Fantastic service. It was very securely double-boxed, so I was very happy with my purchase. I love my current Shark so am sure to be happy with this one. The fit was perfect but not tried in action yet, due to snow! Will be all the sweeter when I do get out.
Having previously owned a Shark Evoline S3, I knew I wanted a new modular helmet for the flexibility of riding open or full faced. I had looked at the EvoOne last year, but couldn't really justify a new helmet at that time. When the EvoOne2 came out, I decided it was time to take the plunge and so ordered the helmet, which arrived the next day. The helmet feels well made and is very comfortable. Like all Shark helmets it seems to come up a little on the snug side, so I was glad I had ordered the XL size. The action of the chin bar is vastly superior to the S3 I had before, with a smoother operation and the added advantage of the visor lifting automatically when closing the chin bar. The latching mechanism is also much more positive. One of the biggest improvements over the S3 for me is the Pinlock visor. The S3 suffered with fogging up very badly in the rain, and so the Pinlock was an absolute must for me. The ventilation system is also far superior. The lining is fully detachable and therefore easy to keep clean. The apertures for intercom speakers are very shallow, but I haven't come across a helmet yet that doesn't require some mdds to the liner shell to accept speakers. The graphics are very attractive, and I am glad I went for this colour scheme. I was tempted by the matt black again, as my old S3, but decided on the Dual Black, which is a mixture of gloss and matt finishes with 'chrome' decals which looks great along side the black and chrome of my Harley. Overall, I am very pleased with this helmet and the service received from Sportsbikeshop.
Top helmet by all means. Comfortable, light, stunning shape and aesthetic! Very wide angled vision visor...simply ticks all the boxes. I own also a Nolan helmet which is worth half of the price of the Shark...but nowhere near to the great performance of the Evo One 2!!
