RST Pro Series Ventilator 5 CE Textile Jeans - Black
Customer Product Reviews
Bought these a few weeks ago.Excellent quality pair of trousers. Bit big so sportsbikeshop swapped em quick sharp with no fuss what so ever, great place. The medium pair I got in return were well made, will be great for winter riding as the lining is lovely and theyre waterproof.Ultimately for the price theyd be a wise investment for any biker. Give em a go. You wont be disappointed!
Newer version ventilator.
I can't give these textile trousers a proper review as they will only be worn during the summer months. I've tried them on and they're a good fit. I bought them to replace my earlier ventilator trousers which are now 6 years old. I decided it was time to upgrade.
Comfy and warm
Very warm and comfortable for the winter months. Seem like good value. Had to go a size smaller as RST trouser sizing seems to be over generous. Not as protective as leather obviousely, but the pay off is staying warm, dry and the fact they are CE rated.
Good build quality
Have not tried these yet, But I purchased them more for summer use and touring in warmer climes. The ventilation looks really good and should keep me cool. The build quality looks and feels excellent, exactly what I would expect from RST. And again excellent service from the Guys & Girls at sportsbikeshop.
Super snug, incredible waterproofing with ballistic outer shell! RST biker gear is right up there with the best (and much more expensive) manufactures. Great piece of mind when riding - knowing that your going to be warm, dry and reasonably safe if the worst happens... Sportsbikeshop have provided exceptional service once again: ordered a size too big, quick communication to them and their slick returns system swings into action - I was also able to drop the parcel off at my local shop! Smaller size received in days. World class customer service.
Well made and comfortable
These are a nice pair of trousers. They are comfortable and fit well down the legs. I find the knee pads stay over my knees when on the bike. The hip pads (bought separately) were easy to fit. I was concerned I'd bought the wrong ones but a quick call to SBS reassured me I could return them or cut them to size. There are two linings - for warmth and waterproofing and they seem effective although no cold weather to give a proper review. On the down side, I wanted to wear trousers underneath so bought the next size up (36) but they were far too big around the waist. A size smaller fitted better but I can't wear jeans comfortably as well. I would like them to have braces as they slip down easily when walking so I bought some workman's braces which seem to be OK at the moment. Also, it seems the venting is a permanent feature across the thighs. I would have liked a zip feature so I could vent them or close them off when the weather turns cool/cold going across open moors or up into mountain areas. But they are really comfy and the quality seems excellent- the negatives do not outweigh the positives and I'm glad I bought them. Thanks as ever to the staff - really friendly and helpful over the phone and the returns system is without worry.
I'm fairly new to riding and only had a cheap pair of textile pants before I found these. There like wearing a sleeping bag on your legs when riding on the early morning commutes. Comfortable and protective with good reflective areas on them. They've not yet been properly rain tested but I have confidence in them to perform. The material seems to have the durability to last and I'd hope so for the money but I'd say worth every penny so far.
