Shoei GT Air - Bounce TC-1
Customer Product Reviews
I researched many lids and ended up at Shoei's door, glad I did its a nice comfy and good fit ,just the right amount of bling graphics wise not too busy and over the top ,and not plain,it has a quality feel ,chin guard stays in ,unlike a lot of others ,and its quiet. Internal sun visor is easy to get at, not hard to open a vent when you need to. It came nicely packaged and protected, which inspires confidence in future purchases, but as usual I've never had a problem with Sportbikeshop .Happy
I do a lot of miles and go through a lot of kit, this is the best helmet I've had in a long time. It's quite, comfortable and, well made. The ventilation is well placed and easy to use, as is the internal sun visor slider. It has a nice plush lining without making it too sweaty on hot days. Very quite and stable at motorway speeds so I don't have to bother with earplugs anymore. Honestly cannot fault it in any way.
This is my first 'premium' brand helmet. I have never had what I would call a quiet helmet, and although I still get some wind noise with the Shoei, it is much better. The ventilation is good and easy to use, as is the visor and sun visor. The whole thing just seems - well, quality.
Usual Shoei excellent quality, comfortable fit, low wind noise helped with the chin curtain. Pinlock visor is included and with the added bonus of the flip up dark visor. I'm really pleased with the helmet and especially with the huge discount offered by Sportsbikeshop. Many thanks.
Excellent fit, high quality helmet
I was hunting for my first helmet, started with a very optimistic £120 budget. I wanted a safe, great looking helmet with drop down sun visor. The only reason why I gave 4 star, as it is only Sharp 3 star. Due this, I have sent it back and upgraded to a Gt Air 2, hopefully the rating on that will be better! :)
Can't express just how happy I am with this lid. So quiet and resists the wind so well Only minor issue I have is the shell size is quite big but it's a small price to pay for such a light weight and quality helmet Brilliant service from sports bike shop as well and a great price.
So easy to operate air vents ,open and close visor including sun visor with your gloves on,i also find it very quiet compared to my previous helmet this is a top quality helmet at a very low price If you're thinking about buying this helmet then hit the buy button before they are all gone you wont be disappointed.
Simply the best
The best fitting helmet I've owned in 20 years. Quality is second to none with great ventilation you can feel working. The internal sun visor is fantastic and ooze's a solid feel to the slider mechanism. Internal padding is exceptionally comfy and firm at the same time giving full confidence that it will protect you if needed. Medium size is very accurate and no thicker cheek pads required although Sportsbikeshop will change them for other sizes to suit you. Cant praise the staff enough especially Reece as it took me 3 other helmets to try at home before settling on this perfect fit. Highly recommended and well worth the money.
I find it quite quiet and very comfortable. It's light and the sun visor is an excellent added bonus so no need for sunglasses. I have been wearing it with a silk hood underneath to cover my neck and keep my headphones in. Not ready yet to shell out another £200+ for the Sena bluetooth system which is custom made for this helmet. The pinlock is brilliant but the sunvisor will fog up so cracking the visor open now and then is still necessary (or get an anti-fog spray).
Shoei GT Air Bounce Helmet Review
Shoei GT Air Bounce helmet, which is mid range in its price so not as expensive, it well-built, premium priced full faced helmet that is quiet and comfortable to wear. It has a built in integral sun visor with good ventilation, come in all sizes and would recommend you try first as they tend to be a size bigger than normal. Great design features on this and across the range of Shoei GT Air helmets.
6 years down the line, still deafening
I have worn Shoei lids for 20 years, riding year round, 6 days a week. I expect a lot from my gear, so I buy quality. I bought one of these when they were first released, tempted by the smoked internal visor. I failed to shift a pressure point on the LHS temple and was irritated by the high level of noise at 60 mph plus. 6 years later I decided to give the lid another go. The comfort was improved and I can't fault the protection having survived a recent 60 mph spill, or the smoked visor which is still excellent; however on the rare occasions that I forget to wear earplugs, this lid is so loud that I get tinnitus at best, a thumping headache at worst. I have never worn such a loud lid and will not be buying another.
My favourite helmet
In 12 years of riding I've probably going be through almost as many helmets. Initially VERY snug I've worn this daily for almost 8 months now and it's broken in nicely. The inside padding went from super tight to reassuringly snug and comfortable. Airflow on hot days is good, as is its ability to fend of fogging up in the bitter cold. The visor pops of nice and easily to clean/swap out. The inside is very well made and the Interphone Shoei specific headset slides straight in with no hassle. The integral sun visor is great. Drops down with a nice this and click and is just the right shade to block enough light to be comfortable without impacting all important vision. After 6k of all weather riding there's no sign of fading or other environmental damage to the finish. I'll probably run this one for another year and buy the V2 to replace when this one's time comes. Can't fault it at all.
Very nice helmet!
I've had my Shoei XR-1100 for about 7 years now and I thought it´s time for a new one. I have tested Shoei NXR and Shoei GT-Air.I felt that NXR pressed too much against my forehead and then I tried the GT-Air and it felt much better against my forehead and around my head as well. So I bought GT Air Fable. I haven't tested it on the road yet but I think it´s going to be perfect. I highly recommend this helmet.
