Macna Nemo Rain Jacket - Neon Yellow
Customer Product Reviews
Simple & effective waterproof shell
This is just a plain shell to keep rain out, which packs down very small (about pint glass size). Construction is very lightweight. It would not be fair to say "flimsy", since it is obviously designed for packability; but if you are looking for a high viz jacket to commute in every day, I would buy something with a bit more heft (Richa Rain Warrior?). If you want something to go in your rucksack or under the seat "just in case", this is just the job. The cuffs have velcro and I can easily get them over the top of 3 season gloves. There's a single pocket on the outside of the chest. Everything else is the absolute minimum necessary (to keep bulk down?): no liner, just a bit of elastic at the waist, no adjusters on hem or biceps. The cut seems good, and the waist elastic is very effective, so I can't say I miss having any extra features. It worked fine in moderate rain, and it was not noticeably sweaty, though I can't say I have tested it thoroughly yet -- though it has taped seams and a storm flap, so it should work well enough. Certainly easy to get over a leather jacket. I bought my normal jacket size, and it fitted over an armoured leather jacket, so the sizing does take into account that it is an overjacket -- but it is a snug fit. If in any doubt, I would go up a size.
