Bull-it Covec Cafe Straight SR6 Jeans - Blue
Customer Product Reviews
Great but non stretch
Very nice colour and style. Unlike my other pair of Bull It Covec, these do NOT stretch. They are perhaps a little tight for a 36. I usually wear 36 jeans from Next and find them fine, but these are quite tight. With stretch they'd be perfect. If in doubt consider going for a 38.
Can't fault these
Earlier in the year, I bought some Bull-it Covec Vintage SR6 Straight jeans, of which I had some criticisms. (Reviewed on here) These are much better in a couple of key areas: (1) Bull-it's own fancy-dancy high-tech knee and hip protectors fit the pockets and stay in place and (2) They seem much less voluminous - though that could just be the styling. Otherwise, these are nice, thick, covec-lined jeans ... that might just help, should I go sliding down the road!
A realistic alternative to Leather?
I'd like to think so, although I hope I never have to road test the 6-second abrasion resistance that these jeans offer! Fit and comfort is great off and on the bike, but I wouldn't fancy a long walk in them as the SR6 lining does mean that you heat up quickly with physical exertion. Sizing is a tough one, I started by ordering the same waist I get in my Levis only to have to return them for the next size up on the waist which fits perfectly. Top marks to the guys and gals at Sportsbikeshop though for a quick and fuss-free exchange. Leg length is perfect on the bike which means a tad long off it, but then you can't have it both ways I guess. All in all a great purchase and a viable alternative to the full leather kit option for shorter journeys.
Comfortable, look great, excellent service
Really comfortable jeans, appear to be good quality with great attention to detail in the stitching work. Protective lining seems to pe as described and certainly a lot more of it than my old cheapo eBay jeans. Hopefully I will never need it! Only criticism is that the sizes are a little small - I am normally a 36 waist but I couldn't even pull them up. Sportsbikeshop were true to their guarantee though - swapped the over no hassle and I didn't need to pay postage. I reordered a pair of 38" waist much better.
Nice comfortable and great service
Happy, quick delivery as always. The jeans are good comfortable quite thick but that's reassuring rather than a hindrance. They don't look as thick as the feel though. I'm what I would call chunky/fat and I still have my football player legs but no issue fitting in to them. Cheers sportsbikeshop.
Nice looking and comfy
If u are looking for a good looking and comfortable option for a big guy with room for your above average tights this is it! Size wise you can go either for your normal size or one below as my 40" waist trousers I bought have more space than average jeans at home. Bargain go for it!
Warm, comfy and good looking.
Warm and comfy and very long. I'm a 34 leg and got the long. Didn't need them that long, sent them back with no hassle and some very friendly emails for regular. Brilliant. Go well with the new 1200 scrambler. For the price of a normal pair of Jean's you can get these and be safe knowing if you do come off you won't cut yourself to bits. My armour fit snugly away into the pockets. Very happy.
Excellent jeans at discounted price
Think these are end of line stock as got them very cheap. Fit is as advertised. They are heavy but cooler than leathers and my textile trousers in summer. They are a straight leg fit and go over my boots. The long leg deals with any riding up and I've not had to use velcro straps to stop ride up that I had to use on my other jeans. The protective liner comes down to top of boots covering a decent amount of adventure boot. D30 hip and knee armor bought separately fits without trimming. Knee is height adjustable. I got a good deal here.
Excellent quality jeans and fitted perfectly. It took me a little while to fit the knee protectors but just needed a bit of patience! Would recommend and lots of size options too. So great for my short legs! They look like normal jeans so handy for when at work or riding :)
Nice fit, quality built. Fits me a little tight at the waist compared to (for example) my Gap jeans. You might consider going for a size up from usual. The long option is great for someone like me (6 foot 3 inches tall) as it's a nice length. Now I just have to lose some weight to fit into them comfortably!
Great pair of winter riding jeans
Great pair of dark blue riding jeans, smart casual. My normal size selection fit, maybe a little snug then normal around the waist. Perfect for winter wear, upto lower single digits, for good few hours ride. Early days but feels well built n comfortable/soft to wear.
These are superb. I've spent a lot more on riding jeans and got less for my money. These are not really summer jeans as they are fully lined, but have been great this September. For once a set of riding jeans that don't expect you to have pipe cleaners for legs. These have enough room in them to be comfortable with the hip armour in. Most jeans I find too tight around the thighs and groin. If you are bigger than the average person, go for these. They are great.
