RST Raid Waterproof Boots - Brown
Customer Product Reviews
Great boot until they get wet.
I bought these in mid-June - so almost 4 months ago - and have used them for two commutes a week and a couple of longer rides - so about 1500 miles in all so far. They are very comfy and have been warm enough and they keep your feet dry - BUT after the first proper soaking they got in the rain they now constantly have white stains all over the leather no matter what leather treatment I try or how often I use it so they now look s**t! I've tried various treatments and the white stains always work their way through and the leather, as a result, has now gone 'lumpy' - so I'm guessing it's pretty cheap leather. I realise they are not the most expensive boots around but they're a long way from the cheapest as well and at £150 I'd still expect better quality than this. If I'm lucky they'll see the winter out but not much beyond that I'm afraid.
One boot is perfect. The other boot was obviously made in a place far far away from where the good boot was made. The velcro flap (hook side)on the outside upper of the boot doesn't meet with the corresponding (loop) part of the boot. Extreme discomfort as the hook side of the velcro is against my leg. If I make the two sides match, it distorts the boot and the buckles don't meet. I'm in Ireland,so not economically viable to send back.
Great off-road boots
Great boots. Wore them 'out of the box' for a full day's green laning in the Brecon Beacons and they stayed watertight despite plenty of mud and water constantly splattering them! Very good protection too. Went 1 size up as suggested by others and were perfect fit with boot socks on. Good value, happy biker.
Rst Raid Boots Black/Grey
Good all round boots Easy to put on and off and very comfortable to ride and walk in But they do take a while to soften and flex up to get straps adjusted to correct positions Haven't used in wet conditions as of yet so can't comment on that yet
