Furygan Melbourne D3O WP Boots - Brown
Customer Product Reviews
second choice but much better
these were the replacement choice because 1st was faulty (another brand), but glad I went for these, they are more comfy, warm and dry in the rain. don't know why i chose the other brand first now.... sportsbikeshop again, super helpful and no quibble on sorting first faulty pair....
Not just a pretty face!
Moving to these from full on waterproof sports boots by TCX and Siddi, I thought these might be a compromise on protection or water resistance. I've been wearing these in the December storms... they are water tight. They're comfortable, the protection looks great. Can't recommend these more. They look great. No longer squeaking around and looking like a stormtrooper is much appreciated.
First , thanks Sportsbikeshop for fast efficient service. Right my Furygan boots which I've had for a few weeks now. Mostly very comfy from the off other than a couple of rubs from new boots but they went after the second ride. As far as waterproof goes I've never used them in heavy rain so can't comment but a friend who has some Furygan boots say his are perfectly dry always so I don't see why I should have a problem!! Riding is a treat as I dont notice I have them on which surly is the mark of a good boot? The build quality is up there too being well made, they look great to if that matters to ya. Over all I'm chuffed to bits with my Boots coz they do the job and I can use them down the pub. I do have to untie the laces as well as pull the zip down to get them off or on but honestly I don't care as these are Brilliant.
Very comfortable once you've worn them a few times. Don't do the laces too tight near the top until the boot has softened a little as the armour may cause some pain in the ankle when walking. Can easily wear these all day on or off the bike if it's not too warm (mid 20's). Reasonably sturdy so should offer good protection but the toe cap doesn't seen particularly rigid so as the leather softens the protection here will be limited. But these are not about ultimate protection, they pass for normal boots when worn with jeans and are comfortable enough to wear all day long.
Furygan Melbourne - well worth the investment
I purchased these boots just prior to a trip to Assen for the Dutch TT in June. I initially had some concerns over wearing new boots for a 1000 mile round trip but I needn't have worried. The boots were a tight fit when I first put them on, but after a few fittings they slide on very easily whilst remaining snug. I have to undo both zip and laces to fit or remove, so it does take a little longer than some other boots. They are comfy to walk in, and also remain comfy whilst riding. Using the gear and brake pedals is eay. The best thing with these is they do not look like normal biker boots, and they don't look out of place on an evening out. I am normally a shoe size 11 and purchased a 46.
Stylish, comfy, with enough protection
Ordered these for an Italian tour to save having to take a second pair of shoes - initially they rubbed on my ankle but loosening off the laces solved this and they were comfortable for a whole weekend riding and touristy milling about. They look great with a pair of Kevlar jeans and you could just wear them for going out in. They seem very solidly put together and a high quality product, there's obviously not as much protection as a full-on motorcycle boot but that's to be expected for this style of footwear.
I bought a Triumph Speedmaster and wanted some new boots to go with it. Also I tend to fly and hire bikes to tour on when I get there. So I needed a boot to wear on the plane, walk about in and wear on the hire bike. I have other furygan products and I am impressed with the quality and price. These boots meet these requirements and are brown.
