Literal life saver

On my first ride out trying the new helmet I was struck by a taxi, braking my elbow, two fingers and writing the bike off. The helmet did it's job, no head injurys, concessions etc. I will be buy the helmet again once my insurance comes in. I will say as a guy with a small head it does look a little large but I think this is due to the internal sun visor. 4 stars

Looks better than it fits

I found it bulky on the outside and extremely padded on the inside, as if to overcompensate. The aesthetics are lovely but I'm only slight so this wasn't the helmet for me. The sizing, in my opinion is about a half inch out.

Very smart lid.

It was very tight to put on but once on it felt very comfortable. The visor is good as are the vents. The drop down sun shade is very useful.

Something different!

This design certainly stands out! The helmet feels quite light if you're used to heavier designs (flip tops etc). I went for the size above the recommendation on the sizing chart, and it was still a little snug initially, but is easing off. The anti-fog visor and internal sun glasses work well, and are easy enough to operate. All in all it's probably more on the design side than practicality, but it functions well enough and looks ace!

Amazing

as a returning customer I bought this helmet never trying it on as I know how easy it is to exchange with sports bike shop. But I didn't need to it fits better then my shark skawl. And for me the design is different but all round massively impressed just wish It came with the purple visor.

Brilliant graphics, good construction

Great lid, but a bit on the tight side at the bottom, making it really hard to put on, but not a big issue. The reason for only 4 stars is the way the visor is built, having a hole straight through it where it locks in place, which to me looks like a weak spot. Not sure about Icon's antifog visor, as this helmet does not use a pinlock. I haven't had the chance to use it in rainy conditions so can't really say. I've returned the helmet as it was too tight on the cheeks for me and it also doesn't match my bike style, but I have to say Sportbikeshop has been absolutely brilliant, really straight forward process for choosing, buying and also returning. Would definitely recommend for any bikers needs.

Pleasantly impressed

At the price point, I was assuming the moving parts would feel a little loose, but this helmet feels very well made. I chose the same head size I normally do, and this helmet felt a little narrow to begin with, but the padding eased up after 1 ride. The print quality is excellent, it's symmetrical, and consistent with no defects. I'm really impressed with the visor lock and the drop down visor, both require positive force to open, and both feel well engineered and solid. Visor removal is a easy, the clips and springs feel strong and well built, no obvious worry of them wearing out or breaking. The only area that will take some getting used to is the hard plastic rim along the bottom of the helmet has no give. If you're used to "rolling" your helmet on and off the back of your head, you may find this digs into the back of your neck. when putting on and off. It's easily solved by changing habit and lifting the lid on and off straight up and down. This was my first Icon helmet, but it won't be my last.
