Alpinestars CR-X Drystar Riding Shoes - Black / Cool Grey
Customer Product Reviews

Really comfy, great grip, super light
These shoes may look a little clunky, a little heavy and not quite as cool as wearing some more classic trainer styled motorcycle shoes however, allow me to say from experience, i am so surprised with these things! I am throwing away my Alpinestar J-6s that I used to wear all the time and and moved over to these. They are really comfortable on foot. The shoe liner is really comfortable and is the same as wearing your most comfortable pair of trainers. They are super light so you dont really consider yourself wearing boots as you don't even notice them. The quick lacing system is really easy to use and most of you will be used to it based on most boots so I wont go in to detail. The grip on the bottom is much better than the J-6s. My other shoes had a flat bottom in order to try and look more trainer like. These have a slightly different contoured shape but the effect means the grip levels are much better in the wet which is what i previously found an issue. The breathability is great on these which i found a problem with the other shoes. Both pairs are waterproof but these are so much thinner and breathable that they are as useful to you in both wet and hot/dry conditions. Whilst the material is quite thin and therefore really flexible, they also have a shifting pad on the top of the left boot (its on the right too so it is symmetrical) which makes the fear of it being thin and uncomfortable to shift go out the window. All in all, a great bit of kit and definitely recommend.
Perfect for Urban and all weather use.
These shoes from Alpinestars are just amazing. Strong build quality Great looking on and off the motorcycle Sleek around the bridge area of the foot, easy changing gears. Great grip on the road and totally waterproof as test in Irish weather conditions. Only drawback is that the lace string is too long.
Comfy
Good fit, sizing was spot on. Comfy to wear on and off the bike, not had opportunity to test them in rain yet but sure i will, Protection wise adequate i would say for trainer type bike boots, Lacing system was not expecting but it works well all in all a good purchase and recommend them for light summer riding boots
Look great, feel great
A great looking shorter boot with both comfort and protection. These don't look like a typical motorcycle boot so are great for when you're off the bike walking about too. Would definitely recommend...plus great service from sports bike shop.
Perfect for the need
I wanted a shoe/boot to ride to work with and not look like a Roman warrior. I stumbled upon on this while searching. Arrived in good time Material and construction looks and feels solid. First ride with these was very comfortable. I could walk around all day with these on.
Light as feather
First thing that socked me when I removed it from the box is how light are those short boots. You don't feel them on your feet. I love the colours and the quality is second to none in this category. Great on & off the bike. I highly recommend them.
Exactly what I was looking for!
I ride a supermoto, love Alpinestars kit but a change of work meant I cant go to meetings in my Alpinestars MX boots. So I started to look for a solution. I googled urban riding kit and these CR-X drystar riding shoes came up. Firstly they are Alpinestars, a brand I personally really rate. Secondly they offer a decent amount of protection, are water proof and look like smart trainer boots rather than a heavy motorcycle boot. Well constructed, not too 'clumpy', very comfortable and look pretty cool! 10/10 to the sportsbike hop for their price and service.
