Customer Product Reviews
Top boot, low price
Boot is extremely comfortable, nonslip sole took a bit of getting used too as it is so good and on my old boot was non-existent. Yet to find out how waterproof the boot is but if it anything like the results in every area so far I have no worries. All in all a great boot at an unbelievable price.
Very quick delivery and the boots are really comfortable, a bit snug at first but already feeling them wear in. I suppose it will depend upon your width fitting but I found the size nine boots fitted my size nine feet. The boots offer good support around the ankle, are comfortable in the riding position and don't feel awkward when changing gear and braking. All good so far.
Bought these boots without even testing them or testing similar boots from the same brand. Was surprised when they were delivered (very fast online delivery) that the fitting was really good. The size matched exactly and they are very smooth to slip on and have a go with out on the roads.
Service = 5* / Boots = 3*
Had this boot since May 2016. Worn about 10 times in dry & damp (not downpour) weather. Being a size 8, bought it, but too tight. The shop was excellent in a replacement to size 9. We bikers take it for granted, but it should not happen, as one size is universal. Ref. the boot, it is comfortable & a good fit. Negatives - (1) The shin protection is too big. I tend to wear my trousers 'outside' the boots; But this is not possible if the trousers also have knee & shin protectors too. When it rains, the trouser should be over the boot, if not, the water creeps into the boot. So this defeats the purpose of a waterproof boot. (2) The sole does not have a solid grip. (3) The gear changing part of the boot is a fraction too wide & so it is a bit challenging when changing gears. This is one of the reasons I never buy boots or gloves on-line. Star value = 3
Great pair of boots
I have been riding now for 2 years and this is my third pair of boots. As an all weather rider I bought them as my current pair lost their waterproo-ness. Initial impression was what a good finish and well constructed boot. The are a little tight so would recommend you buy half size bigger. Comfortable to wear and feel very safe with the ankle and shin padding. The lining is well finished and gives a good feel of quality. I bought the boots on sale and seemed to give value, I would definitely say they are worth the full price. I would buy Spyke kit in the future.
Great boots. Bit stiff at first however get more flexible with time. Turnaround time from Sportsbikeshop was amazing, beyond my expectation. And the boot size was spot on. Only slight issue is they are bit difficult for changing gears however possibly that's more due to me being a new rider.
Comfortable and good price
Surprised by these as I had read reviews about them being slippy on the sole but mine are not and I am very pleased with the quality. Comfortable to walk in and rain water doesn't get in. Nice zip on sides and two flaps to make the seal. Highly recommended.
The daily driver
Waterproof, warm, protective. I'll admit, when first slipping my feet into these I thought, "I might want to try a size larger." Like the lazy sod I am, I decided to deal with the tightness because I could not be bothered to send them back. Lo and behold, they eased out and now my feet fit like a dream. Wear them 8 hours a day for college and can wear for longer if need be. They don't look awful with my normal day-to-day clothes, but they won't win any fashion awards. If you want some more street-cred-friendly kicks I'd look at those TCX X-Somethings, they'd be more to your taste. The value. Oh damn, these are good value. You get a lot of boot for 60 quid. Nice big shin pad, still ankle protectors on both sides, and decent ventilation so your feet don't boil. On a given day I walk a mile or two in these, which isn't much, but as long as you don't treat them like walking boots you'll be fine in them. The sole is a tad slippy. My only real gripe with this boot - but then again, not made for walking. When walking down the steep road in town I nearly slipped on my bum, because I stepped on a man-hole cover. I thought I didn't have to worry about those when I was off the bike! Regardless, now I just avoid them on my walk down through town, but it's not a deal-breaker at all. I can still fully operate the gears and brakes with these on, which is always appreciated. I cannot comment on the sizing of it, as I don't REALLY know my size, but what I can say is that if they feel tight at first, but you can squeeze your foot in it, they will ease out and you will be fine. They are kept on by a zip and two huge velcro straps, you'd have to be breaking a fair few laws if these came off in a tumble. Usual great service from Sportsbikeshop. UPDATE - "After going down in these boots I can now comment on their protective qualities, and can confirm that they are pretty good. I was going onto a roundabout at 20-25mph and lowsided, with a 140kg bike landing on my right leg and twisting my foot around. The only damage to me was a few sprained ligaments near the ankle, but absolutely no bruising or broken bones on the foot whatsoever. The abrasion resistance is great, in fact you can't even tell that I crashed in these boots."
