Rev'it Acid H2O Waterproof Trouser - Black
Customer Product Reviews
I tried numerous pairs of over trousers with zips always getting jammed, taking forever to do up and driving me nuts. These ones I can get on in seconds and over my boots and away I go. Have kept me 100% dry so far and they fold down nice and small. I wish I bought these first off. Very very pleased.
Good, but still not long enough
I'm 6'2" with an 34" inside leg, I wear the XL in the RevIt's trousers (can't remember which ones they are though!) - didn't go for the long version of those as they were sufficient. I was hoping that these would be similar in length but when I sit they still ride up and expose a few inches of the bottom of my trousers, so they still get wet. However I can say for sure that they are very easy to get one, not too baggy and seem waterproof so far in the bits of rain I've worn them in. For the money I'd have thought they would have been lined in order to make them even easier to get on.
Good quality waterproof layer
After getting totally soaked through my Buffalo Pacific jeans (which are only water resistant, it turns out!), I ordered these waterproof trousers. The sizing is rather on the large side, so a medium was more than enough to go over my Buffalos. You can tell they are well made, and don't have annoying little pocket holes through which the rain can penetrate. All in all, very happy with my purchase. Great service as usual from Sportsbikeshop
Good - paired with Cyclone 2 Jacket
I bought these to wear with a Rev'it Cyclone 2 Jacket. Size as expected, fits well. I've fitted braces to stop them slowly falling down, and I think that stops the rain getting in where the jacket and trousers meet. Overlap is just about right. Tested in light to moderate rain, completely dry underneath. As others have said, not too sweaty.
Good customer service
I was very happy with the customer service I received at SBS. I tried on several items and this one offered the best mix of functionality, look, price and fit. I like the stuff sack provided with the item. Fortunately I have not had chance to try it out in the rain yet.
Does exactly what it says on the tin
First things first it doesn't come in a tin! However it does come in a handy little pouch!! Good fit, can't tell you're wearing them! Well you can because they keep you dry, but you know what I'm getting at! Easy to put on and remove. Speedy! Happy non soggy customer! As ever Sportsbikeshop gave first class service and speedy delivery!
Non Sweaty Waterproof Trousers
These really work, rainproof and not sweaty in the higher temperatures. Not super stylish but who cares when it's raining..... They work and because they keep you dry on the inside they are worth the money! They pack up small too.
Lightweight and easy to put on
Haven't really tested them yet but fit and quality is good. Roll up small. Wide leg entry for boots. Quite wide around the boot even at maximum closing of the Velcro - they're fine but not tight around the boot.
Time will tell!
I chose these waterproofs to match my Revit waterproof jacket....its been excellent. I've been lucky enough not to have ridden in the rain since I bought these trousers, surprising since I live and therefore mainly ride in Scotland!! I'm hoping they'll be as good as the jacket. (So fed up of buying 'waterproofs' that simply are not!) They are very roomy making getting them on and off very easy.....once on they are not the most flattering garment but I don't care so long as they keep me dry but I could have done with the legs being a bit narrower. They are not made from a cheap plastic material so I have high hopes they will last (the jacket is 4 years old and still in very good condition) Excellent advice from customer service in helping me choose the correct size before buying....well done Sportsbikeshop....I will use you again!!!
Great delivery as usual from Sportsbikeshop. These are very good quality waterproof trousers with food openings and easy to get on. The sizing seems pretty right on the guide. These are magical as each time I've put them on it has stopped raining! They pack down very well into the included bag. Only downside are that they are baggy in the bottom of the leg, even with the Velcro adjusters. Makes it very easy to get on though.
This is my second pair, previous ones got ripped accidentally but before that I wore them for five days in April this year on trip round part of north west 500. Had wind, rain, snow and sun. These kept me warm and dry the whole time. Would definitely recommend them.
So far so good(Not gone far though)
Seem to be a good quality make and the none stick inner made putting these on that bit easier. They are quite baggy but I guess you need this to get them over your boots and trousers, they do have some Velcro fasteners around the bottoms to stop them flapping about which is good. Not tried them in a full on rain storm yet but I expect they will perform well although not breathable so may get a bit sweaty? but not worn long enough to comment fully on that to be fair. Going to keep them on standby for emergencies. Bought mine in size Large and am a 32 leg in jeans and there just the right length though a little baggy knees upwards. They come in a handy little storage bag too which is quite funky. Overall happy so far, recommended!
