Great winter glove
I've used these over the last month in combination with heated grips and my hands have been toasty. Insulation on the palms is thinner so they work really well with the grips. Not had to use them in rain yet but they're great in the cold and the only non-heated type I've had which work at this price. The only thing that lets them down is the wrist closure which is a bit fiddly with the gloves on. Fit is fine though and they take no time at all to get used to.
They work!
I was waiting for some really wet weather before reviewing and can now confirm they are waterproof and stop your hands from getting frozen. I commute all year round and these will be great for the rest of the winter. My Versys does have handguards which helps reduce windchill anyway so can't say what it's like without them. Like other reviews have mentioned they feel weird at first but you get used to it and yes the visor wiper is naff but I didn't buy them for that. Great value for money.
toasty
Good cold weather gloves, not had a chance to check their water proofing. Warmth wise I suspect roads would be to dangerous before your fingers get cold. used these throughout December 2019 with toasty fingers. of course they take some getting used to, but thats a sacrifice for warmth.
Strange feeling to start with
Strange feeling to start with with the split fingers but once I got used to it they performed well. Thumbs were still v cold but fingers much better. As someone who likes to wear my gloves under my Rukka cuffs I find these cumbersome to get on with the split fingers and bulky padding round the wrist. Not worn in the wet yet but reckon I'll have to keep looking for that perfect glove.
Thanks for the great service
The delivery was a bit delayed due to their supplier, but everyone of them tried to freeze hell and at the end I got these gloves just in time for Christmas. The gloves are really great craftsmanship and of good quality. I'm German and I worked in labour so I know what I'm talking about. Thank you again, very content new customer.
Kept my fingers from freezing
Use these for commuting and they seem good so far. If you fingers freeze at the first sign of a mild breeze like mine do, you value a decent set of gloves. These are perfectly usable - can still operate buttons etc, and they offer a good amount of insulation too. They won't stop you from feeling the cold totally, but your hands won't be frozen in to a claw shape when you get off the bike either. If you've never worn gloves like these with only 'two' fingers, don't let it put you off, you soon get used to it and it helps keep the warmth in.
Do what they says in the ad
Had the first frost of the winter this week. Hands stayed pretty warm which is great as I do a 50mile commute. Rode home in the wet last night and the gloves were waterproof, only downside for me is using the clutch was a bit awkward for the first week, but they are warm and dry versus a little awkward!!
Good gloves so far
I've had these gloves 2 weeks so far. The stitching has bedded in and although they've not been in the rain, these gloves feel comfortable and warm. So warm in fact, I've swapped back to my race gloves as my hands were too hot this week. Hopefully they will keep doing this all winter as well as keeping my hands dry. Taking over from my 5 year old HG spock gloves. Well impressed.
Great gloves
A good quality glove. They've been good in a huge down pour, waterproof and warm. Not so warm when it really stars getting cold for long journeys. But lets face it nothing is going to beat heated gear in that area. But if you've got a shortish commute these are the business.
Not too impressed
As suggested I chose a size up from my usual as I would be using them with inner gloves. I found them still to be short in the length and the thumb stitching pressed into the base of my thumb. I tried the next size up and they are just too big. On this pair I found that some of the stitching along the forefinger was coming away.
Warm & dry hands
These have to be the strangest looking gloves i've ever seen and owned. I'm known as Lobster in work now. I've had them about 3 weeks and I've marked them at 4 stars because we haven't had any real testing cold weather, yet. The coldest i've used these in are 5c and so far so good. They are well made, may be bulky for some, but I like them. The cowhide aids for a good grip. The cuff is nice and long and they keep my hands warm and dry. I use them with a Silk liner glove which allow my hands to breath, so no sweaty hands and no smelly insides. Although they are 2 finger on the outside, they are individual inside. Love the little visor wipe on the left glove.
