A bit fiddly to fit, but that means your bike is not going to a Mary Poppins and land on its side when the wind blows. Waterproof certainly. bought silver to avoid (hopefully) UV degradation. Time will tell. Had my Stormex for 5yrs before it came apart like a clown car. TBF they have a hard life.
Best outdoor cover out there
Completely waterproof! Fantastic cover in every way and made very well too. Absolutely perfect fit for my J2 ZX6R and comes with front and back reinforced and Velcro shuttered loops for locking through - no more worrying about the wind getting up under the cover and throwing your pride and joy over. No hesitation at all in recommending this cover if you're in need of a really effective, totally waterproof cover with perfect fit for this type of bike 10/10 R & G also do the cover shaped for other bikes but I bought the superbike version.
Great product great price
For the money you cant go wrong. My bike is kept outside in all weathers keeps it dry and safe nice easy pre cut holes for all your chains and locks and with the double clips underneath to stop the wind pulling it off. Would recommend and would buy again plus next day delivery, very happy.
Good bike cover
Good quality material, soft on inside - not fleece or cotton lined, but certainly doesn't feel like there will be a risk of marking the fairings. Easy to put on by your self. Fits my CBR600rr4 just right. Has two straps which clip underneath the bike, they aren't adjustable - meaning you can't put the cover tight, although it's not exactly loose to begin with.
I've purchased 2 x earlier versions of the R & G Racing Superbike cover for my GSXR600 Track Bike. The first cover was purchased in late 2013 as I was no longer able to garage my bike. The quality of this first one was reasonably good though after several months the stitching on several seams began failing and small tears began developing in stress areas though R & G replaced it after 11 months without question at no cost with a much improved version. This second cover would have lasted longer however a neighbours cat favoured the seated area to sleep and repeatedly clawed at the cover on waking, the cover itself still offered good protection though the claw tears were worsening so I purchased this latest version which is a much improved higher quality than the second R & G cover. It's not made to measure but fits my bike reasonably well with coverage to a couple of inches below my front discs including the front paddock stand with ample coverage down over the rear seat & fairing unit down over the wheel and paddock stand with maybe 3-4 inches from the ground to the bottom of the cover. 2 x adjustable securing straps prevent it billowing and lifting in high winds coupled with the elasticated hem making for ease of fitment and adjustment. There are small covered vents on the front to aid airflow and slots to allow fitment of a security chain both improvements on the last version. Overall the cover feels thicker and much higher quality material though I doubt it will withstand the cats clawing so I'll have to find a decent cat repellent! Any suggestions?
Bought this cover on the back of the MCN review. It was purchased to replace my last cover that I had provided me over 10 years of excellent service. Delivery of the product was good and as described. The bike cover is also as good as promised which I am extremely glad of as I leave my bike out all year round.
Not so happy
Product does not cover bike to ground, leaving bottom of disc exposed to weather. A tight fitting small cover. Only trying to cover a CBF600 so not a huge bike, this cover does not cover it so well. Would not recommend unless you have a really small bike?
Top quality product and service
The cover can only be matched by the service, perfect! Delivered fast and without hassle. Very good cover, strong, well made, well designed with two straps underneath and strong elasticated ends to hold around wheels. Would recommend, fits perfect on CBR600F6.
Rolls Royce of covers
Very well built and a great design. Heavy duty material and time will tell how waterproof it is, it has poured down for the last couple of hours and I can see pools of rainwater formed in recesses so it's looking promising. Elasticated hem, love/hate relationship. It can be a little bit of a pain to put on (can imagine more so when it's tipping it down) but it does a very good job at keeping the cover secure unlike my old one which would blow away very easily. I've not needed to use the two under belly straps yet as the elasticated hem secures it enough. Covers near enough the entire bike, doesn't cover the last 3/4 inches of the front wheel of my Yamaha MT125
This is a fantastic product. The thickness of the material gives you confidence to leave your bike for a couple of days. My only complaint is it's a bit tight on my Suzuki Van Van, but I think it's because I have higher mirrors than the original.
Good all round cover
Firstly: I gave this a 4 star rating because this is based on the latest 2014 model of the R and G cover. I had the previous model, which was great and it had a foam strip inside designed to fit along the tank. This was handy when leaning over the bike to adjust it when fitting. The latest model, despite the lack of foam padding, fits nice and snug on my CBR600F. The ears which settle around the wing mirrors would be fine if I hadn't put extensions on, but even then there is wiggle room so the cover still covers the whole bike. When the cover is new the elastic is really taught and you may experience some frustration trying to squeeze it over the various parts of your bike. It always catches the rear foot pegs when sliding it down (hence the reason for reaching over and the ex-foam padding). But over time that will pass and it be much easier once bedded in. My last cover, the previously mentioned model, lasted for about 4 years and covered my bike each day when it was stored outside when not used to go to/from work. During that time the exposure to the elements eventually turned the cover material into the consistency of tracing paper and eventually it quite literally shredded. For the years of service it gave the value for money was excellent and therefore I chose to buy another one. Look for my next review in 4 years time.
Good when it fits right
Bought 2 of these covers for a Yamaha Fazer 600 and a Honda CBF500. The cover on the Honda was a terrible fit not nearly tall enough at the front. The cover on the Yamaha is an excellent fit. Being fully elasticated around the base it can be a bit of a hassle taking on and off as it grabs every footrest indicator lever etc. The material is quite thin but there is padding where it rests on the seat/tank. Too early to tell how long it will last.
