My shiny helmet

Just purchased the HJC CS-14 Lola in black and white, I am very pleased with my purchase. It is the first helmet I have bought for use on the road. I love the design and fortunately so far I haven't had to test out how good it is at saving my life. However the approval markings being on it does give me confidence, it fits perfect and the quick release straps definitely come in handy. I have no regrets with the purchase.

Quiet, comfortable, affordable

I bought this helmet in Medium, ordered before 3pm and sure enough it was at my house the following day. The helmet is a great fit, plenty of room for my elephant-esque ears and a really nice finish on the interior too. No cheap foam irritating the skin just quality padding with a silky smooth finish. My first journey with the helmet was 2 hour return trip from collecting my new bike and I was very impressed. 1 hour on the motorway and the helmet was great. Very quiet at 77mph (+ more as desired) and a great field of view. No visor issues for lifesavers, the K3 is known to flick up on a shoulder check if you have it open a slot, but the ventilation is so good on this helmet that you can have it fully closed and be cosy and clear. Even with the visor open a tad it wouldn't come up at speed ( can be pretty dangerous! ) . Easy to use sunvisor too even with thick gloves on. As it was my first journey with it, it was slightly tight on my cheeks but that was due to the helmet needing moulding in and the wind speed pressing it against my face. 1 week on and the fit is much better and a lot comfier, even though it was great in the first place. The strap is OK,I prefer the quick release ratchet style strap but this double D loop system is easy to use once you're used to it, only problem is you will struggle with gloves on which you wouldn't with a ratchet style. Not a problem though, lid on, gloves on, braaaap. Quality finish to the helmet too, still looks brand new 1000 miles later ( 1000 in a week, i like my ST3 :D ) For

Brilliant high quality helmet

The fit of the helmet is extremely snug and tight fitting. After a week of moderate use the padding molds and loosens slightly so do not worry when first trying on the helmet if it feels tighter than usual. The wind noise is fairly quiet and the Pinlock is very easy fitting. The interior sun visor could be a little darker tinted when riding in bright sunlight but no other complaints. This is a very high quality helmet with the Sharp's 5* rating for a cheap price. Recommend this helmet to anyone as the quality and comfort of the helmet does not deteriorate after long periods like other cheaper helmets.
