Alpinestars SMX boots were my first boots ever. That was 10 years ago and I've never had a new pair untill now !

This updated waterproof version is great.
Fits alitle wider then before but once your in them for 30min it no longer matters.

Draw sting tighter could use improvement as its not as secure or plus as the non gortex version (of my 10year old pair) but it's still very practical and certainly better then a plain old boot.

Super comfortable to walk around in to. Bonus

True to fit, easily broken in, initially felt stiff but straight away felt comfortable , great on the bike no problems changing gears considering I’ve a fused ankle . Overall I’m delighted with these boots they look great and seem to be waterproof I’ve only been on two rides in the rain neither longer than 20 minutes and they didn’t leak .

I wanted a boot with protection and a certain amount of flexibility.
These have a zip either side which makes putting them on so much easier along with being waterproof. Have yet to ride them in the rain but the construction of them gives me a lot of confidence.
