Gore-Tex not keeping out water? There's a different procedure to getting it sorted, and here's an explainer...
Third pair boots from TCX and the quality is exceptional as always. Great fit and comfortable from the first time of pulling them on.
Comfortable and waterproof! Sizing was spot on for me.
Really comfortable boot and seen to be well made. Feel warm and with gortex liner should be waterproof too although this has not been tested yet. DPD next day free delivery too. A very satisfied customer who would use Sportsbikeshop again.
I Bought these boots after sending back a cheaper brand of boots that failed and straight out of the box I could tell that these boots were a much better quality. I usually take a 9 in all my shoes but went for the 9.5 option in these. Getting them on and off is not to bad and they are comfortable to walk in. Very pleased
Still breaking them in but very comfortable with plenty of meaty support round the ankles. Been riding in the recent wet weather and they kept me warm and dry
Well the proof of the pudding is taking you new bike gear right into the thick of it. I've bought TCX before and when looking for Goretex boots was delighted to see these TCX-Five boots.
Two days into our tour of Scotland in non-stop torrential rain the only part of me that was dry was my feet.
No 'bull', these boots do what they say, comfortable tough and dry, just perfect.
Seem to be a good boot. I've been breaking them in walking dog in all weathers, and not a drop of water ingress. Have no doubts they will be fine for the bike too! Sturdy and well made, and a great price.
I'm really pleased with these. Purchased to replace a different brand which had started leaking. They took a couple of rides to break in and now fit well. I found them true to size. I haven't had a chance to try them in the rain yet though being gor-tex I'm confident they'll perform. Great boots.
Only had these for a little while but seem to be a good quality boot, quite a stiff sole, and boot all round but I am expecting them to soften up with use.
Good quality for this price point with a nice bit of protection around the heel area and toe.
Yes I think these will do the job very nicely. I take a uk 10 and the 44 was a good fit although the 44 comes up as a 9.5 on the size chart it fitted me well, if you want to were a think sock go for a size bigger would be my shout.
All in all very good I'm happy.
Excellent quality made boots, very comfortable. One note of caution, I had to re order size 8 as my normal size 7 was very tight.
This is my second pair of TCX X Five boots, the previous pair were waterproof till the very end when the sole wore though and the zip gave way. In 35 years of bike commuting, these are the ONLY boots I've bought that remained waterproof for their entire life. They fit the big legged well too, the only thing is like to see improved is more rubber on the sole, commuting through a busy city means lots of foot down action which wears the inside edge before the rest.
Bought these based on the reviews and I am not disappointed. Found them super comfy from the off and they feel safe even if I hope I never have to test them. You can't go wrong for the price.
Its always hard to buy boots of line and get a good fit first time, but the sizing chart was spot on. The boots are comfortable with just the right amount of protection stiffness. Look good and easy to clean. Plus excellent service from Sportsbikeshop as always.
My first pair of TCX's. They appear a good quality pair of boots, I'm a size 43 and length wise they fit well but I find these are narrow made boots and the instep is tight on my feet. The leather is a bit hard just now so the tightness should ease off as I wear them.
Very comfortable indeed. Roomy at the toe area which helps when you ant to wiggle your toes a little.
Lovely and warm and surely waterproof but so far not tried them in the wet
These fit my size 9 perfectly and are very comfortable. They seem very solid. I expect them to be properly waterproof unlike my old boots
Had Rst summer boots that were cold damp and 5yrs old, fed up with feet like flippers. Tried a few boots through Sportsbike shop free delivery and return policy but struggled as I have rather large calfs. Found these boots after reading reviews, I went up a size which gave me a little more room putting boots on, half zip half velcro fastening gave my calfs loads of room, did a -7 windchill run 130 miles wooley socks and Knox Cold killers, no cold feet, done approximately 300 miles in them now and they are softening up a little, comfortable warm dry what else do you need, you will not be disappointed.
Ticked all the boxes for me - a restart to motor cycling. Not much experience to compare them with, but I heeded everyone's advice to get a size bigger than my shoe size. The boots are comfortable, fit perfectly, and seem to do everything they are advertised and meant to do.

The TCX X-Five Plus Gore-Tex boots do offer a degree more room than more sporting boots.
