Why pay more?!
Wonderful fit, quality and style. Super warm and fantastically waterproof. So light! Only slight downside is you have to buy your own backplate. I decided to just replace everything anyway with d30 because the jacket was so cheap and I haven't regretted it. I own jackets £300 more that aren't as good.Read more
Great jacket: dries quickly, looks smart
This jacket comes up small. I'm 5'10" with a 34" waist and I'm in the XL! I don't use the back protector as I have one in the air jacket that I wear over the top, but with a t-shirt, a thin fleece and the jackets own lining in, this is comfortable but snug on me. The quality of the jacket seems excellent. I have been in some rough weather recently and there is nothing getting through. I love the sleeve zips that make it so easy to get my gloves underneath, and the material sheds water easily, so it all dries in just a few hours at room temperature. My only feedback with the whole jacket is that the neck area is not too comfortable. It has a very clever adjustable popper to adjust the circumference of the collar but the material is not so comfortable against the neck and again it is coming up quite small so that when I wear something padded inside of it, it feels tight. With my winter balaclava on for my 30 min commute I'm finding that I'm ok zipping the front up and not using the neck popper and as above nothing is getting through. But before I next go on a tour I'm going to want to sort it out. For the sake of the extra material to make a comfortable and easy to close flap under the chin I do not understand why more jackets do not feature this and it would certainly make this jacket 5 stars IMJ. As it is, it is only 4 stars but still offers excellent value in this price range. I also use the matching trousers which are equally good quality.Read more
This so far has been a good functional jacket. I only have done 800 miles so far on a trip to Kerry. As its August I have removed the thermal lining. The fit is good. It's a Gortex laminated jacket and the water runs off the jacket, so the jacket does not hold the water and stays light and completely dry unlike my RST Paragon 5 which was like a sponge and lost its waterproofing after 18mnths,early days yet, wait until I have a winter of riding done but so far so good, Gortex has never let me down yetRead more
