I fitted this to a Nolan full face helmet (watching a YouTube video) with ease. Downloaded the app and all works fine. Nice to be able to have a little music on my ride now.

Not cheap but one of the best investments I’ve made for my bike. It’s clear this lock means business, the DX1000 is quite heavy making it feel like a solid well built lock, Knowing it’s resistant to angle grinders (to some extent) makes a huge difference and i no longer feel as anxious. The rubber coating also protects the frame or wheels. To transport this you will need a tail or tank bag due to it's weight, too hevau for a backpack, but that’s expected for this level of protection. For me, the trade-off is completely worth it.

I have always used givi for travel accessories, I already had the pannier mounts and needed a topbox mount, Sportsbikeshop is always my first port of call, reasonably priced and always good on delivery. Like all givi products it was easy to install, I had to change the pannier mounts to fit the rack (supplied) but all in all it took about 45 minutes to fit rack and the M7 top plate.. a solid and sturdy product by Givi and sold by SportsbikeShop..

Although sold as the same model, this has minor hardware and firmware modifications from the original. It still fits and works with the older helmet mount, so the only significant hardware difference is the change from micro-USB to USB-C in the charging/connection point. The physical controls retain the form and function of the original.

However, the later firmware settings differ from the earlier version, so you can't load saved settings from an older headset, and while you can copy most of them manually, there are a couple that are missing or different in the new version.

The changes might arguably be classed as "improvements", and don't impact on my personal use of the product. My main niggle with old and new versions - reducing my score from 5 stars to 4 - is that intercom connection for the first time with other riders hasn't always been easy or straightforward, in spite of the laminated notes that live in my topbox. In my local motorcycle group, riders with (admittedly costlier) Cardo systems seem to have an easier time of it.

Once connection is established, however, it is reliable over a good range. Sound quality is good, as is microphone noise-rejection, and overall the headset does what it is supposed to do.

Ordered an XL, I’m 1.8m, 94kg and 44 inch chest, it fits very nicely with enough room for a mid layer if needed. The waterproof insert works well to keep the wind chill low on cooler days. Very happy with product and service from sportsbikeshop.

Seems quite strong for the price. Good to have the option to switch it on and off.
