Oxford Rainseal Over Jacket - BrightOxford Rainseal Over Jacket - Bright
I bought the Oxford Rainseal Over Jacket – Bright to replace a different, more premium flare type jacket from a different manufacturer, which had failed.

I have to say that this oxford jacket is much better and really well thought through. I am an all year round commuter, 100 miles/ 3.5 hours a day so need a good waterproof and visible jacket for those dark winter months (if you are reading this, then you may well be a commuter too!).

This fits the bill perfectly – why? :

Visibility : This jacket REALLY shows up at night, and much better than the fluorescent types as those tend to only have small reflective sections. This on the other hand really does the job, which is super important to me commuting in the dark. The nice thing also is that it just looks grey in the day, not too gaudy, so I don’t feel too conspicuous wearing it (at night, I prioritise being seen over fashion – you are defo conspicuous in the dark – that’s a good thing in my book)

Fit : I take a 2XL textile jacket and I bought the 2XL rainsuit – it fits perfectly, so I would agree that you should buy your normal size. Some people say that the arms are a bit baggy – but this is part of its brilliant design. It is easy to put on over your riding jacket (which can be an issue with some) and more importantly, when wearing it, you feel absolutely no restriction on your shoulders / arms (again, can be a problem with some jackets). For comfort and safety, I would much prefer it this way and personally (over a textile jacket) I have experienced no flappyness at all at normal road speeds.

Waterproof : this is really waterproof!! I know you would expect this from a rain jacket, but anyone who has tried a few know that this is not always the case. I have been though some pretty serious downpours for 1.5hr plus and I was surprised and very pleased to find that when I arrived and took it off, my textile jacket underneath was dry. This thing really keeps the water out (including the neck, which has a decent closure), and whilst I suspect it is not particularly breathable, I have not suffered with any sweaty issues wearing this.

Overall, I am really impressed with this jacket and its performance. Certainly for what I need it for it is a great product and great value for money.

Pretty happy with these. Fit is accurate, and they aren't too bulky. Concertina sections in the bum/upper knee areas is a clever touch. Very glad the kneepad height is adjustable. Was way off out of the bag!

I found it very comfortable and it has kept me warm even without the thermal liner attached. Nice healthy collar, high-quality zips, and good waist and hip adjusters. Overall just a well made, clean and good looking jacket.

RST Ladies S1 CE Textile Jacket - Black / Neon Pink RST Ladies S1 CE Textile Jacket - Black / Neon Pink
I purchased this as a replacement to a (cheapish) 1st jacket purchased a few years ago.

This is a really well made product that looks really good, and seems to work really well. Even in some very heavy recent rain she stayed dry.

Particularly like the external shoulder protectors. Look awesome, and are functional.

NOTE ON SIZE: She's 5'6" and normally a 6 in women's clothing. After reading that this came up a bit small she decided to go for a 12, which fits her perfectly, so if you're unsure, err on the big side.

Well since I bought it to replace a crap Halfords one I can say after use every week it has given me consistent pressure accuracy. Given it 4 stars as it is very light plastic and maybe if I dropped or stood on it by accident it would break in a million pieces! So I use it carefully but it is easy to use getting it on and off the valve.
Good delivery service from Sportsbikeshop.

I don't ride at night much these days, so I tend to use this more for ensuring that I don't get run over by a tractor while out walking the dog.
Very effective vest, you light up like a character from Tron!

Oxford Continental Advanced Textile Trousers - BlackOxford Continental Advanced Textile Trousers - Black
I’ve only used these trousers in the winter so I can’t comment on summer use but I’ve found them to be comfortable, warm and dry even in minus temperatures without jeans underneath.
Leg bottoms are a bit baggy even fully adjusted but it is easy to get your boots on & long socks fix this
Sizes are a bit small so go for a size up

I bought these in a sale and I'm absolutely delighted. It's serious quality kit in all respects and faultless to date. The build quality is in a different league to anything I've owned before. One small word of caution - do try before you buy or be prepared to do some exchanging (which SBS are brilliant at). Whilst the waist sizing chart is accurate, be aware the general cut of the hips / thighs is surprisingly slim i.e. you may need to go bigger in the waist to get a comfy fit in the hips/thighs. I went with an XL to accommodate my 34"/36" waist and think the hips/thighs are definitely snug despite my less than muscular frame!

Klim Latitude Gore-Tex Trousers - Castlerock GrayKlim Latitude Gore-Tex Trousers - Castlerock Gray
Due to weight loss, I've had to dowsize. I originally started with the XL (36) version of these, and already have a longer review on here for them so I won't wax lyrical as I've done that already.
Enough to say there was no question where I'd get my next smaller size from - SBS - nor what I'd buy - the same Latitude trousers, just in a smaller size.
Right now, I'm using these in some of the very worst English weather imaginable - down to 2 degrees some days, often doing 3 or 4 hours in torrential rain, and these have kept me warm (with appropiate layering gear underneath) and bone dry. The zips and seals are perfect, the trousers are comfy, and the fit is perfect.
The ONLY think I wish was that they came with better armour than the standard L1 D3O. Not because of the protection, but more how stiff and inflexible the standard armour is in the cold.
I've upgraded all of my clothing to D3O Diablo L2, including these, but it's an additional cost. I believe (but don't quote me) that the 2026 onwards revisions will come with Klims own brand of armour - Rogue - and that is very similar to the Diablo and a significant step up from the standard D3O shipped in these.
Armour notwithstanding, I can do nothing but recommend these trousers.
Final thought - dont forget when comparing these to any other trouser you buy, these are guaranteed "for the useful life of the product". If you crash and damage them, Klim replace them. If they are in good condition but a zip leaks in 5 years time, Klim will fix or replace it. That's a premium product backed up by a premium company.
Pull the trigger.
