Great gear

I've been looking for some decent trousers to wear in most weathers, and came across these. First thing that I liked was the style - they look great, and are a bit different to my usual 'black-on-black' stuff'. They fit really well and feel good on the bike. I've only got the supplied knee protectors in at the moment but I might get some hip additional armour for them. They do come with hip foam pads in the hip area which gives a supportive feel though. They're a good length which is something that's always bothered me about my previous bike trousers, as they used to ride up the boots a bit too much when sitting on the bike. They feel like they have been well put together, have some nice features, plenty of adjustment and good pockets. They also come with detachable braces which I wasn't sure of, but having used them with and without them, I prefer them attached as they really add an extra feel of support. The removable insulation will be good in the summer too. I haven't worn these in heavy rain yet but I expect them to be fine. I'm finding that I'm buying more Oxford gear these days as they seem to be putting the thought and effort into making excellent fit-for-purpose equipment, that looks good for a reasonable price. I'd recommend these. NB. Careful of the size guide on these - I'm a 34/35 waist, with 32/33 leg. I ordered XL in these in line with my older bike trousers. The fit is just about right. I think the size guide suggested L but they might have been too small.

Top motorcycle jeans

Great quality and protection. Tough Cordura material, fully lined, with comfortable knee and hip protectors. Some motorcycle jeans are virtually a normal pair of jeans with some knee pads! These are top of the range for protection, with a casual denim jean look. Wouldn't risk my skin with anything less! I would say the fit comes up big though. I normally wear a 34, but the 32 fit best. So would recommend going down a size. I also get a 34 leg in normal jeans, but found the 36 leg fit best. Would highly recommend these jeans. 5*****

Well made, does the job

Bought these for commuting on rainy days as got fed up looking (and feeling!) like an astronaut with my regular (and bulky!) waterproofs. Unlike many other brands, these trousers fit to size (I had to exchange my first order as they were too big). I am very impressed with its quality, you can tell it was made with much care. The Outlast liner keeps my legs warm but not overheat when the temp warms up. The wax coating + Reissa keeps me dry. My only complaint is that longer length should be available; I'm 6'2" and my ankles are exposed. I do wonder how these trouser will feel when riding in the summer rain (without the Outlast liner).
