If it feels like armour in your bike kit then the law demands it is actually proper, protective armour. Here's how to tell how effective your impact protection is...
My Held jacket has velcro to stop the shoulder and elbow armour moving round in the pocket. This means that D3O armour is not suitable as the pockets are too big. Having said that the Quattrotempi armour is excellent and the only reason for replacing was that I managed to snap one of them whilst transporting the jacket.
I was a bit upset the after a very low speed topple the original protector broke in half. I have bought another off the wonderful Sportsbikeshop people and I would have got a better armour if it would have fitted my trousers. they may fit well but in the event of an off were found wanting
Used in my Dainese jacket to remove the annoying composite stuff that barely flexes.
This armour is thick, and CE2 but really moulds with heat. Take off the jacket after 10 minutes and the armour is really well shaped.
Can't fault it, but it is an expensive upgrade to an already expensive jacket.
Protector had to be trimmed slightly at the side to fit the pocket, but once installed fit snug & secure. They are ideally situated to protect the knee & don't drop too low! Great.
Overall the protectors fitted well and felt god when secured in the leathers. I think the knee protection could be wider and slightly longer for a better fit within the leathers as the knee area needs more support but overall a lot better than what my leathers came with new !
