Thought I would splash out on some quality boots. Wasn't disappointed. Went one size up and a perfect fit. Lightweight boot. Without any fiddly fixings or fasteners. Squeak free when walking. Plenty of protection offered. Beautifully made. Not had boots with an inner boot before but quickly got used to it. Blingy, yes but top end quality and so so comfortable. As always service from the guys is the best.

They are really nice boots and make you feel secure and safe, how ever even after I've worn them 10 times they still start to feel uncomfortable after a few hours.

I've been wearing sidi vertebrae boots for nearly 20 years now, not the same pair. But tried alpinestars after a recommendation from a friend. What a difference! So much more comfortable, and more feel on the pegs! Wish I bought them years ago.

The lace frayed the first time I wore them

These are fantastic boots. Brilliantly thought out, great protection, and totally comfortable first time on. (And so they should be for the price.)
I got the white perforated ones which are hard to get in the UK. They worked well the one time I've worn them - to a track day at Silverstone this week. However...
After wearing them that one day the laces on both inner boots were frayed on the middle pair of eyelets. And on one boot the lace snapped. I guess I must have tied them too tight? But they felt comfortable all day. If it were a regular problem no doubt Alpinestars would have done something about it, so presumably it's just me?
I like them too much to send them back. I got some thin cord from B & Q which I can tie up. It's disappointing - hence four stars.

The boot has been designed to incorporate numerous innovations derived from feedback received from Alpinestars topflight racing program. The race-driven innovations enhance the comfort, and bring the protection, and performance of the boot to a class-leading high. Innovations include a newly redesigned front flex area, a redesigned rear bellow, a redesigned top gaitor, a new shifter, an update to the ergonomically profiled shin plate, a new shin slider, a new inner bootie, and a newly redesigned compound rubber sole.
