Give your fingers a treat with the right pair of winter gloves...
I have ridden in these gloves several times since I bought them and so far they have been excellent. They are very comfortable to wear and don't feel at all bulky unlike some winter gloves. They feel much thinner than my previous Dainese Veletta winter gloves. I haven't used them in the rain yet but I'm sure I won't be disappointed if they are the usual Dainese quality. The usual superb next day delivery service from Sportsbikeshop too.
I wrote with these last weekend and like all winter gloves you sacrifice feel me dexterity for warmth, which is why I scored them a 4, I'd like to see glove technology move forward to warmer but lighter profile so as not to lose dexterity.
Gloves faired well 2 degree weather and hands were perfectly warm, I did also have heated grips on. Overall I spent about 4 hrs in them, some reasonable but not silly rain and hands stayed dry and warm. As I say my only criticism is the thickness.
Excellent service from Sportsbike shop as usual. First use of gloves was on a very wet and windy November weekend trip in NW Scotland. Gloves are comfortable straight out of the box and warm enough for November in Scotland. However they did eventually let water in after a few hours in torrential rain. Once removed when wet they were almost impossible to get back on. In less extreme rain on the trip home they did keep the water out so I would say they are waterproof up to a point but not 100% for prolonged use in really heavy rain. Expected better performance.
Superb quality, hi-specification, short gloves. Not much use for the straps on the cuffs tho' but I've got big wrists. Very warm and totally waterproof. Tested to -5 on heated grips with no issues at all. Recommended short glove.
