RST Alpha 5 RL CE Textile Trousers - Black / Black

I love these trousers.

They are a good fit (especially when you pull the velcro belt up properly!!).

Good knee protection and zips at the bottom to allow boots to go underneath.

Fit really well with the matching jacket and zip together nicely.

They are also very warm and I have already taken out the lining.

Good VFM so get some while you can

These RST Alpha 5 RL CE Textile Trousers are nice, well built touring trousers that feel comfortable and protective on every ride. The fit is good with adjustable waist and leg details and the CE certified armour gives confidence on the road. They’re great for everyday riding and commuting, practical, waterproof and dependable.

As you’d expect, these RST trousers are great. Fantastic quality and fast delivery. However, I followed the advice on here and sized down - this was not a good idea and they are too small and husband get get his leg over his bike without the risk of the crotch ripping. I’ve had to retune and order the next size up. This has left me out of pocket whilst I await a refund. THEY ARE TEUE TO SIZE SO GET WHAT TOUD USUALLY WEAR.

Very warm on cold days, with lining in. During mid season, inners probably need to be removed. What I like about RST trousers is the lining is zipped all around the ankle area of the trouser to secure, not little buttoned hoops/loops, which allow cold air in. Nice practical and quality touch. Not used in heavy downpour yet, hope not to, but used in moderate rain for about 40 minutes, and kept me dry. Came with level 1 knee pads, has pockets but no pads for hips. Used level 2 knee & hip pads from old Bull-It jeans, fitted well. I am sorted.

The adjustable waste was perfect for me as I'm usually between sizes. The material quality is really good and felt comfortable over long rides. Very happy with my purchase.

I bought these for my daily commute and during poor weather they are amazing, they are very warm and keep the wet out, during the summer they were unbearably hot and sweaty but I did expect this and other trousers were needed for the summer

Good pair of bottoms. Very thick, and nice and warm. Waterproof also. Only reason not a 5 stars, when I get on my bike the leg bits rise so my ankles can get a little cold while riding. This might be due to sizing but the next size up for me was way too big so stuck with these. Give them a try sitting on your bike I d recommend, other than that good trousers. Good price.

Great fit, warm, I got a 30inch waist and had loads of room, I'm normally a 32-33 inch waist, I found them to fit a tad big so maybe go down a size, definitely try them on first, can also remove the inner if too warm.

Worn these many times now and totally waterproof and very warm in winter weather. Would highly recommend, particularly given the price, great value!
