Oxford Big Black Bike Front Paddock Stand
Customer Product Reviews
Functional - is what it is
Comes in 2 halves and you bolt it together. The holes on one side of it were slightly misaligned - had to really wiggle the bolt around and force it through, which worried me I might accidentally strip some of the thread by grinding it against the rough inside of the drill hole. Anyhow, I got it assembled and (along with the Oxford rear paddock stand I've had a couple of years) it's now keeping my tyres off the ground whilst I don't have any 'essential journeys' to make during the coronavirus lockdown.
Being a fairly new motorcycle rider and owner, I had already purchased the rear paddock stand by Oxford. I went with this stand as I was happy with the rear and wasn't sure if there would be a height difference by going with another type or brand. The stand went together well with clear instructions on how to do this and how to use the stand. The only reason I haven't awarded 5 stars is the mounts that connect to the bike were not great quality compared to the rest of the stand. I'd still recommended this for the money.
Product as described, easy to put together, looks really sturdy and was easy to use, would definitely recommend this product as it does what its supposed to and is priced very reasonably, I will definitely look at buying the rear stand (currently have one borrowed from a friend). Service from Sportsbikeshop excellent as always, will be using them again later this month for my Christmas present, some RST boots.
Bought this alongside the Oxford rear stand. Both pieces of kit were very easy to put together! Both pieces and very strong and ell built too. they accommodate GSR600 perfectly. After a bit of practice, I now find it very easy (even though you aren't supposed to) to get the bike up and off on both stands on my own. Would definitely recommend!
Both the stands, front and rear, arrived when they were expected. They assembled easily, and work perfectly. Just what I needed. How are you supposed to do any maintenance on modern bikes when the manufacturers don't fit centre stands?
