Nolan X-804 RS Ultra Carbon Puro - Gloss Carbon I must have a funny shaped head! Shoei, Arai, Shark, give it 20 mins on the road and all 3 of those, which I thought were comfortable in-store would either leave me with a severe headache or a sore head with multiple indentations.
I’ve gone with a XXXL Nolan, normally an XL. I still get a small line on my forehead after an hours wear, the mark I get is from the stitching line just above the forehead section inside. But I can live with it over all my previous helmet issues.
I went with the gloss carbon. Which looks better than the matte version. The X-804 has a broad range of prices from £400-£700, but why pay top tier for the same helmet just to have a lame design on it when you can get the naked carbon effect with a black “Nolan” logo on the front. I don’t like the look of helmets with their branding embossed all over it in contrasting colours. This helmet has the stealth effect, which looks great, even more so with the provided black/ dark visor.
I find the pinlock fog system brilliant as well, ventilation is good when on the move. And I find it less muggy inside with the visor down than I have with other brands.
Nolan N80-8 Classico Nobile - Pietra Matt High quality helmet ,very comfortable with sturdy construction
Nolan X-903 Ultra Carbon Liquido - Gloss Green Great looking carbon finish and a great match for my bike which is what counts
Nolan X-804 RS Ultra Carbon Asso Di Picche - Carbon / White / Red Ive used xlite, hjc and arai and this in MY opinion is the best of the bunch seriously underrated helmets in the uk.
Nolan X-1005 Ultra Carbon Puro - Carbon Fibre Excellent quality. Great fit and very comfortable.
Nolan N120-1 Classico - Matt Black I’ve been using a Nolan flip-front motorcycle helmet for years. This model is my 2nd and have been very impressed with its overall quality and comfort. The flip-up mechanism is smooth and easy to use, even with gloves, making it very convenient for quick stops or conversations.
The interior padding is comfortable and supportive, and ventilation works well to keep airflow steady while riding. Wind noise is well controlled for a modular helmet, and the visor offers a clear, wide field of view. The helmet feels solid and secure when closed, even at higher speeds.
While it’s slightly heavier than a full-face helmet, the added convenience makes it worthwhile. Overall, the Nolan flip-front helmet is a reliable, comfortable, and practical choice for everyday riding and touring.
Nolan N120-1 Classico - Matt Black I tried this helmet on in-store to get the right size - it’s my first bike helmet. Size small fits perfectly. Instantly comfy! Unlike other helmets I tried on, the Nolan N120-1 sits snug and secure without any tension spots. The dual face fitting is a little stiff to pull up to begin with, but after about 3 gos, is smooth as anything. I went with matte black which is both noticeable on the road and stylish - bike shop employee recommended black after reading a survey that indicated most drivers see black more than white on the road with motorcyclists. Have used the helmet in single figure degrees - it keeps my head warm, the front vent does a good enough job keeping fog-up away however during a colder ride (around 4 degrees) I decided to use the shaving gel hack on the visor as I couldn’t quite see my speed. Going to get a stick on fog remover visor. Overall, I’m very happy with this helmet!
