Nolan Helmets

This helmet is one of very few that would fit properly and feel comfortable. I have quite a small head and when trying helmets the small were too small and the medium too loose. The sports bike store staff could not have been more helpful when I was trying to find a helmet that fitted as it should. I was able to order the colour to match my bike and it is comfortable and feels secure.
It’s taken a little while to get used to the way the front opens so far back. I don’t think I’ll ever use the locking mechanism for the chin guard. The visor is a bit stiff still but that’s the only niggle.
It’s a great helmet for the price. I ride a trike so I’m not looking for a racing helmet!

This is my first (more expensive) lid. I’ve only ever had cheap ones in the past (as little as £45 in some cases) so when I decided to go for something that costs a lot more I was sceptical about the difference being significant enough to justify the price. That said, the Nolan N100-6 is really well made, all the buttons and locks work exceptionally well and are situated in convenient locations making opening the face up and locking it easy when wearing gloves. The sun visor ratchets down and flips back up nicely and thankfully there’s enough room for my glasses in between my face and the visor without contacting the screen or pressing into my face. If there’s anything to criticise it’s that my glasses have to be squeezed past my head to put them on whilst wearing the helmet but they’re not uncomfortable once in place and there’s no chance they’re falling off whilst I’m riding! I love the styling and the finish is flawless. Overall 5 stars

My previous two helmets were Shoei Neotecs, but they have become exceptionally expensive these days. This is my alternative. A few weeks in and I'm really starting to like it. Fitting is just like the Shoei and the quality of fit and finish is right up there. I managed to fit my Cardo Spirit intercom with no problems (the removeable padding for the ears are a good size). When riding (I have a fully faired touring bike) the helmet transmits more noise than I'm used to (I always wear ear plugs) but is generally very comfortable. I like to ride with the visor just slightly open in traffic but find it tends to close itself when the speed rises. I've not done a full day's riding in it yet, but I expect it to be every bit as good as it's Japanese predecessor.

This helmet is a great upgrade from my old Nolan 104. (6years old) I was struggling to find replacement visors for the old helmet so decided it was time to change it . I settled on the Nolan X-1005 Ultra Carbon Liquido , the carbon is coated in a range of colours so giving it a unique finish (I chose the - Gloss Red) I also upgraded the intercom with a Nolan B902x (Sena internals) as they fit directly on to the Nolan helmet. The helmet has a close fitting neck shield cutting out all wind and helping to make this the quietist helmet I have ever worn. The mechanism is silky smooth and simple to operate, plus you can ride with it up in the locked position. The internal sun visor and main pinlock visor have lots of settings it suit most types of riding. Overall this is the plushest helmet I have ever worn, and would recommend it to other riders. Great helmet, very comfortable

Great service by Sportsbikeshop as usual, ordered a Medium and a Large to be delivered to my local store next day, tried them both on to find the best fit. The helmet looks great, fits great, little wind noise, and came with a race visor as well. Very happy with purchase.
