You'd be surprised how many riders wear a helmet that's too big for them. Here's how to tell if a lid really fits you...
This is my sixth X-Lite / Nolan helmet and the fourth in the Checa design (Yes, I know...). It's obviously the first in this new version. The sizing is the same - I had Mediums in the X-802 and X-803 and this Medium X-804 fits just the same. Visibility seems improved with better upward and wider side view. It's a little heavier and noticeably so but still lighter than most I think. Apparently extra strength is needed to meet new safety regulations. My old X-803 has a sticker saying 1,320 grams, and 1,370 with options. The sticker on the new X-804 says 1,450 grams, and 1,500 with options but that seems a tad pessimistic. I've seen two YouTube channels weigh the X-804 at 1,459 / 1,462 grams out of the box with visor and spoiler. I tried removing the spoiler but the helmet looked unfinished so I put it back. TIP: To remove the spoiler you only need undo one central torx screw underneath a snap-off cover, then the visor pivots down and pulls away. It didn't come with a Gold sticker but I called SBS and they sent one. All good!
It's a very light weight helmet the only issue is it's a little bit noisy compare to some other helmet but there is definitely worse for similar price
Looks really stealth like especially with the dark viser fitted. Really comfortable too.build quality could be slightly better especially the finish.
coming from an x-lite this is a great upgrade slightly heavier but still light, fits great, didn't come with a gold Sticker but as ever sportsbikeshop responded and sent me one the next day always a great service, not a requirement for all helmets but needed for my Race club. AAAAA+++++
