Every rider has been caught out in the rain and wished we’d put our waterproofs on before leaving the house.
Customers generally praised the boots for their comfort, fit, and waterproof qualities. Many reported they are true to size but some advised ordering a size up, particularly those with wider feet. The boots perform well in various weather conditions, including heavy rain and extreme temperatures, though a few found them too breezy for winter. Durability and ease of walking were other positives. Some faced challenges with the high instep or narrow design, though overall satisfaction was high.
Served superb for several years and some 20k miles. Very comfortable but you must size up.
All day walking (when in the office) no problem.
Waterproof until they succumbed to time and abuse :)
Sad to see them go, do not regret having them
I find it difficult to get boots to fit me, having a half size difference between my large wide feet and chuncky calfs!!, but strangely these Sidi's seemed to be in the goldilock's zone, I had to go up one full size to get there, and have found them both warm and comfortable once paired with the Oxford winter socks I bought at the same time, riding for a couple of hours in around 4-5 degrees and dry weather, the boots & socks worked perfectly.
Just purchased these as my richa slick boots left my ankles cold during winter riding, so wanted something just a little taller.
Have only tried them out briefly once so hence the 4 stars, but they look good and fit the bill just hoping they are warm enough and waterproof.
Only used a few times now but they are excellent boots. Barely needed to be broken in. Can't say how waterproof they are because I havnt seen any rain but going off previous sidi I have had, they should be excellent in the rain
Just purchased these to replace ageing Sidi Black rain ready for our Scottish NC500 trip. We had 1 deg temperature, torrential rain, sleet and these boots performed faultless. Super warm, super dry, super comfy, highly recommended.
Performance, style and practically all in one with this product.
I was looking for waterproof boots as I teach CBT and ride in all weather. Sizing is accurate I ordered my normal size and they're perfect. I wore them through storm babet and can confirm they are definitely waterproof. My feet were bone dry. They are however, not warm so far the temperature has been 3 - 10° and everyday my feet have been like ice. I'll definitely not buy another a pair, but they will be great summer boots
I've only ever worn Sidi race boots but wanted something waterproof for touring that was also flexible off the bike and wouldn't cook my feet on hot days.
No issues with this boot at all and it meets all the above. The mid-length boot makes it easy to walk around in and you can wear jeans in or over the boot.
Wore these with a merino wool sock on ridiculously hot days this summer where the bike was reading 39 degrees and at no point did I think my feet were too warm. Also tested in rain at motorway speeds and not a drop got in. I clocked up well over 2,000 miles in a week with no discomfort.
I am a UK size 11 for all shoes and wear a 46 in this boot.
My 12 year old Daytonas were great boots, but past their best. The Sidi Aria boot feels a lot more protective, especially against crushing and no animals were harmed to make them. Take a bit of wearing in as they are stiff when new.
I bought these boots after getting caught in a storm and my boots, which are usually pretty waterproof, weren't.
I have worn them a couple of times in the wet and they are waterproof and warm. I have yet to wear them in the winter but I have high hopes of their performance. The zip and Velcro fastenings are easy to use especially if you're wet.
They also come in half sizes which is an added bonus.
This pair of boot is great value for it's price, comfy and easy to wear.
I'm a size 8.5/9 left right difference and went for 43's. Perfect, absolutely Perfect fit. Now I'd describe my leg foot shape as average leg (calf, ankle, length) and slim foot - they really do feel like shoes. Thin short sock on wasn't the best idea for a trip to Spain, make sure the sock at least clears the top of boot as it will catch the new leather on the shin - stupid me not the boot. A lot more feel in the foot controls - previously had RST and Richa. Now here is the thing - we all do it. You look up the boots for example sort them in most recommended and that sways your decision, true? I did that with the Richa - leaked, RST toe and sole had unattributable wear and leaked so most folk don't go back and update their ratings. In fairness the only course is to buy and try! You won't be the same leg foot shape as me. As for the durability I don't know yet, they are waterproof I stupidly walked off the road to take a photo and stood in an irrigation ditch - no water got in. Just need to try a winter season in Scotland now.
Replacement for Alpine Star boots that have slowly disintegrated after 5 years and 90k miles in all weathers. Ordered a size up as suggested and these are a good fit if somewhat still at first. With the current heatwave yet to see the performance in the rain but should be OK. They will get a lot of use!
Perfect fit and really comfortable very easy to put on and take off excellent.
Very happy with these boots. Good comfort, I went up a size as being Italian they are narrow and after your feet warm up, you'll need the room. I'm a 9.5 and got a 10.5. The zip on the inner side of the boot is water tight. Having done some water crossings and put my feet down a number of times, my feet stayed dry. Great looking and practical touring or daily riding boot.
After having a pair for a few years and with daily riding and several tours later, Sidi, Gore-Tex and Sports bike shop arranged for a new pair once the left boot started letting in water a little. The customer service given throughout was fantastic. I have no hesitation recommending or shopping with SBS again.
superb fit comfortable very happy
Out of the box my first impression was nice looking boots although a snug fit.
I was concerned the snug fit might mean less comfortable but after a 7 hour run on the bike they were comfortable enough to forget I was wearing them and gear shifts feel noticeably better than all previous boots I've had.
Theses boots feel comfortable and fit my feet well. I'm usually a size 9.5 and ordered 45.
