Decent jacket

The styling, armouring and fit of this jacket is really good with the only downside is that it's a bit short. I found the quality of the zips on this jacket to not be particularly great but it still does the job. Beware wearing this jacket in summer because the lining can stick to your skin as it is a waterproof jacket. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because I sometimes find the shoulders in the jacket a bit tight and would benefit from gussets around that area.

At last a jacket that fits

When purchasing M/C I usually buy a small and still find the fit to large and don't feel that the safety aspect is going to help me in the event of a accident. As the title says this jacket fits me. All the protectors are in the right places and the sleeves not too long. The Merlin quality seems to be excellent. My order came without the advertised back protector but a phone call to sportsbikeshop and the very helpful staff soon sorted this out.

I was looking for a lighter jacket for the summer months that I can wear my leather cut over and this fitted the Bill well.
It's lightweight, waterproof and the sizing was spot on. I have had Merlin garments before and they are always high quality and great value for money.

Wax Cotton Not For Me

Never had wax cotton before buying merlin camo. Disappointed that you cannot wash them in a machine. Medium size seems a little tight with back protection, but it can be removed if required. However, looks great and worth it at half price. Impressed by the quick delivery of sportsbikeshop.

My first Merlin and the quality in the flesh surpassed my expectation. Would have been decent value at full price - ridiculous at half price. Great looking and comfortable. The colour is true to the outdoor pics rather than the lighter studio pic - i.e. it's the nicer, darker colour. As mentioned in another review, the wings of the back protector can stick out a bit at first when leaning over, but these can easily be teased in by hand.

It seems like a great jacket with all the protection and look good but the back protection sticks out a bit and the material feel a bit damp at first but nothing to worry about if your looking for a good reasonably priced jacket then this could be the one

You'll get the usual jokes of 'where's your jacket' with this Camo spring/summer offering from Merlin. Great build quality as you'd expect from Merlin and the wax cotton is a nice alternative to textile or mesh summer jackets. XL is right for U.K. 44 - 46" chest. Plus it comes with knee, shoulder and back protection should the worst happen.
