Although a relatively new brand, the team behind Merlin have a combined experience of over 50 years in the design and manufacture of the highest quality bike kit. During this time the team have sold more than 300,000 pieces of motorcycle kit worldwide, and have worked with some of the very best MotoGP, WSB and BSB equivalent riders. I wear the jacket to work and on the bike - cant feel the discrete armour, looks great and very comfy - warm too believe it or not. can be worn during summer and autumn. very flexible too.

Been looking for a riding shirt for ages, but always put off by the low safety ratings and strange fit.

Then I spotted this in a rival sites mailer, so I reserved one into the Glasgow store in two sizes.went with the small though normally a medium. Folk don’t even realise it’s. Motorcycle gear.

Upgraded the armour from 1 to 2 by sitting Rheon.

I was so happy with this jacket until I got caught in the rain. My 25min commute was enough to get a wet spot at the inner of my ellbow. When that happened a second time I contacted Sportsbikeshop, who took it back to send it to Merlin. Finally I got the verdict "fault not present", so don't get the idea that Merlin either bother or have the means to verify a leak at a seam, when visually all looks alright.
So this is an all weather jacket with a leak - not fit for purpose.
