Rode all summer in these, done about 2000 miles. Absolutely love them, I upgraded the armor to D30 Level 2 for that extra piece of mind. Great on the bike and off the bike, even when walking for distances, just feels like a normal pair of jeans. Rode them in some colder months for short rides in London and wore thermals underneath which worked. When it's time to replace these I will definitely buy again.

These have been absolutely brilliant to wear over winter on the bike. I've done about 1000 miles in them in mixed conditions. In torrential rain they kept completely dry (they also dry fairly fast too). In 10c weather all I had was a pair of smart wool thermals on underneath and never once felt the cold, when it dropped to about 4c I put on a pair of tracksuits underneath (they are spacious enough to accommodate) and it was perfect. The only annoying thing I would say is that off the bike, they tend drop and I'm having to pull them up, although you can attach them to your jacket via two zips which I assume would negate the issue. All in all would highly recommend.

My first day wearing this jacket was during my mod 1 training, in absolute torrential rain all day long. Not once did I feel cold and I was completely dry underneath. I've had other cheaper Oxford jackets before but now having done over 1000 miles in this Merlin it's my go to. Spacious in terms of sizing, but the protection is still in the right places and feels comfortable. I can easily wear a hoodie or jumpers underneath and ride in sub 5c weather comfortably. When it gets a bit toasty, there are plenty of vents you can open to get some air flowing. Loads of pockets too which is great for all the things I carry such as keys, ear protectors, glasses etc. I often don't wear a neck tube for shorter rides as the neck protector does a brilliant job keeping the wind off your neck.

I've done about 2000 miles in these between May - September. Perfect summer glove giving with nice ventilation and nice feel/grip on the handlebars. They do have a bit of a leathery smell, which I like, but others might not.

Seems to be a quality product and on a half price offer with Sportsbikeshop and MCN it was too good an offer to pass up.

Overall, v good value - of course the sale price helped with that. With 7 piece body armour it gives reassurance plus the substantial cordura material adds to that. Reasonable adjustments to the fit make it comfortable, with enough pockets to hold essentials.
Not used in rain yet, so no comment on waterproofing.
Personally, I could do with the sleeves being a tad longer, but otherwise the fit is good for me.
