Merlin Sherbrook D3O Single Layer Riding Shirt - Red Great quality and very comfortable
Merlin Chigwell Utility Textile Jacket - Black Great jacket , can wear in summer with thermal out & when cold leave it in & keeps you warm , not tryed in rain , but I don’t go out in rain , but if you were to get caught out , would think it would be ok as liner is waterproof as well . & it looks great & well made , my 3rd Merlin item .
Merlin Bandit D3O Waterproof Leather Boots - Black Looks nice out of the box, but you are essentially paying out the nose for the "Merlin" name. These boots developed holes above the D30 heal armour only after 5 months worth of use. The lace eyelets are not stitches or properly bolted (not sure on the correct terminology) into the leather and within weeks of wearing them, half of them had popped out. The only thing the boots do have a bit of credit for; they were waterproof up until the holes developed - hence the 2 stars and not a flat out 0.
I've got to say I'm never buying into any Merlin product again
Merlin Ladies Shenstone Cotec Air Jacket - Black So comfortable to wear but also looks good.
The back sits right down onto the bottom so doesn t ride up when on the bike. Water and wind proof with the lining, gorgeous cool lightweight jacket for hot days.
I ve had leather jackets before but the fit on this is so much better, it s a great design for women. Much lighter than leather when carrying around.
I love Sportsbikeshop s option to order in a selection of products to try on before you buy.
Very satisfied customer.
Merlin Minworth II D3O Heated Gloves - Dark Brown I've had these gloves for couple of months, riding in temperatures down to around 3C. These gloves keep my hands and fingers warm, though on some occasions I was using handguards as well. Above about 8C they seem fine without the heat on. I've only used the max heat once on the coldest day (3C) and it stopped my fingers from freezing. Otherwise, seem fine with low or medium heat and I've used these without handguards at temps of 5 -6C with no issues with these heat settings. Batteries are easy to insert/remove and on the medium to low settings look as if they will last up to around 4 hours, maybe a bit more on the lowest. If I was going to ride really long distance I'd buy another set of batteries to keep going longer. Quality and fit seem fine for me, the fastenings are secure and stay that way whilst riding. Can't comment on wet weather performance as I haven't yet used them in any serious rain.
Merlin ThermaVolt Heated Midlayer Jacket - Black I bought this jacket because of the built in controller. Only had it on once and it became apparent that I couldn't control it through my outer jacket with gloves on and very hard to control without gloves. So back to Sportsbikeshop who were great and got it swapped for some thing with an outside controller!!! Pity really because it felt and fit really well.
Merlin D3O CE Viper Protector - Back Fits Merlin jacket exactly, and why would you not want this extra protection.
