Alpinestars Raider V2 Drystar Textile Trousers - Black / White

These trousers are really comfy and warm. They haven’t let water in once…and living in the Scottish Highlands theres a lot of it! Rated 4 stars as it doesn’t come with hip armour - which you must buy separately. At that price I think that is a bit cheeky by Alpinestars.

Very comfortable and have everything you need. I did have to go up a size though.

I decided I needed some decent waterproof trousers and chose these since I already have a Alpinestars WP jacket, so the two should zip together, and they do.
Construction is top quality, they are very comfortable and very warm.
I originally ordered the XL since I'm a 36" waist usually but these came up rather too small so had to upsize to XXL (sad face).
SBS were excellent at arranging the swap and I took the small trousers back to the Bristol store where I could try on the larger size to verify they fit ok.
On the way home the heavens opened so It gave me the chance to test them in anger right away and they didn't disappoint. I remained warm and dry all the way home.
Apart from the sizing, if I had to be critical of anything, it's that the internal liner doesn't fit over my boots, so while the outer shell will go over the top of the boot the liner rucks up inside the leg, which feels a tad weird, but it's hardly a deal breaker.
All in all, an excellent pair of waterproof trousers and very glad I made the purchase.
