Cardo packtalk slim
05 May 2023 by Gareth
Bought for a foreign trip and to connect with a mate. Fitting quite simple, positioning the speakers took the longest time.
Sound quality good. But got caught in a downpour and somehow water got into the unit and it failed. My mates also failed but he managed to dry his out.

Very Happy Chatting
26 March 2023 by Andy
This Cardo intercom packs a lot into its small size. Very neat and compact yet easy to find your way around wearing gloves. I've fitted it to an HJC RPHA 70 helmet but it will fit many different types. The are some excellent videos online from cardo covering helmet compatibility and setup/usage so I was up and running in about 15-20 mins. Only disappontment is that the Mesh technology isnt compatiblewith Sena Mesh, although Cardo do provide Universal gateway mode for interbrand connectivity, something not always provided by other brands. Great features and easy to hook up to my iphone. 10 out of 10

Neat Pack Talk Slim
19 August 2022 by Ade
The unit was not as easy to intergate to my helmet as I had hoped, but got there in the end and it is neat and don't feel components at all with my head. It works as it should, but not tried intercom yet. Speakers do have to be right on ears, but when in right place sound is top quality. With reference to usb breaking/not lasting, this is Cardos fault/design. The usb plug has to 2 spikes to hold plug in socket, these spikes retract when plug is squeesed, but it is not possible to squeese plug sides when helmet and headset are as one unit , you simply cannot get fingers there, because too close to helmet. I used a steel fingernail file to file out spikes, now a smooth fit and no squeezing plug. I hope Cardo see this I am amazed it has not been picked up before now. Other pack talks can be removed from helmet for charging.

Helmet fitment
03 August 2022 by Frank A
The product itself was fine I just had the unfortunate fact of my ears being in a wierd place so they weren't directly in the ear moulds on the helmet but other then that it's done what it was meant to do

Upgrade to Pack talk

This was purchased as an upgrade. To the original pack talk. It initially had a fault but replaced no issues. Excellent bit of kit

Better looking than performing
20 June 2022 by Mr N
This is my second Pack Talk Slim. The first stopped suddenly after 3 years of frequent use, which appears to be due to the micro USB breaking inside the unit. Why buy another? Simply due to the design. I have a Shoei X-Spirit which it suits perfectly. Like other reviewers I found that the voice recognition is a little hit and miss but it does everything else well. I have had to accept that the connection port has a certain life span !

Awesome, sleek and does the job
23 November 2021 by Steven
I have fitted this to my Bell Star MIPS, it is sleek and sits well on my helmet.
The JBL speakers are great, the sound quality is excellent. And the speakers fit perfectly in the sides of my helmet. Remember to feed the cable to the top of the helmet and not around the sides or back as this is the antenna for the radio and reception of signals.
The voice feature works well, the buttons are fiddly with gloves. But using the voice commands... "Hey Cardo..." It takes the need to using the hands when going through the options when riding.
Linking the slim pack to my Garmin Nav6, TFT dash and my mobile is very simple.
The setting up of the Bluetooth and mesh is also very easy. It's waterproof and I've used it already in many heavy downpours.
Overall, this is an excellent piece of kit, it feels substantial and well made, the battery that sits flat on the back of the helmet weighs next to nothing, and you don't even feel it on the back, and I chose this over the Sena ones as this is waterproof.

Fickle and no android connection
04 June 2021 by David C
Firstly Cardo dmc only works with other Cardo units, and they don't like to connect to Sena on Bluetooth for some reason. Voice control is temperamental and must be set to English UK (not American). Range is excellent with dmc as is clarity, if you drop out of range it picks up as soon as within and with the correct setting has volume increase as you go faster, you must download the app to your phone for individual volume settings and better Bluetooth connections.
I would advise you get a magnetic charging plug and USB lead as the socket is a known weak point. For the price I expected it to be better and easier to connect to and stay connected to non cardo units, if you only have an android tablet you won't be able to download updates needed to use these!

Really good intercom
13 May 2021 by Carlos
Call quality is good, sound quality is good even with full akra system plus earplugs. The fit on my Shoei NXR is fantastic and the modular design spreads the weight on the unit nicely.
Only gripe is the buttons lack feel.

It's awesome

Works very well. It has a lot of different functions so it takes some time to get used to. But once you know what you're doing with it, it's awesome. Clear speakers for intercom and playing music, voice commands worked well for me.

Very Best Intercom Available
08 April 2021 by Peter H
My son has a Sena, but I wanted something less chunky plus waterproof and simple to use. This fits the bill.
It sits really nice to my Shark and also to my Arai.
The sound quality is far better than my sons Sena.
The unit will pair with others, but best way to understand how is to pay a visit to youtube for clear instructions.
Really easy to use with winter gloves.
Yes you do need to charge it on the helmet. but for me that isn't issue, plus it can't be accidently knock off!
Highly recommend this unit.

Expected higher quality based on other reviews.
14 March 2021 by Ben B
Must admit I had expected better, did absolutely loads of research on this, between sena and cardo. The JBL speakers, cheaper price, and waterproof warranty swung it toward the cardo. Fitted and connected and there is notable fuzzy noise between changing tracks etc, haven't tested the coms aspect yet due to lockdown just a tad disappointed in the quality, the app is good but again speakers will distort when you crank them up to the max but this is pretty damn loud so I don't think think you'd have it that high normally.
