The label inside your boots will tell you about what tests they've gone through, and how they did. Here's how to decipher those labels for yourself...
Well made, perfect size and possibly the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn. I bought these after a nightmare with a pair of Eleveit Stratos boots which ripped the first time I wore them (sorted quickly by SBS - thanks). They are exceptionally comfortable straight out of the box and the size is perfect, I’m a 10, bought a 10 and got a 10. I’ve worn them on and off the bike and can honestly say they are the most comfortable boots I’ve ever had. They give great support whilst riding while being flexible enough to perform like a pair of standard boots when off the bike too. I got the brown and they sit under a pair of jeans without looking like bike boots. Last time out got rained on quite heavily and my feet stayed perfectly dry. What’s not to like. Really can’t say enough good things about these boots and would recommend them to anyone.
Very comfortable to walk around in
These boots are great for summer riding as the are lightweight and I would wear them casually as they are comfy
Always find it hard finding motorbike trainers that look like normal trainers. These look great with jeans and are pretty comfortable too
Very good quality these boots you can tell just by the look, quality Italian leather not imitation stuff you could slip them on easily with the zip up sides ware them out for a night out even, thier more like a trainer boot very comfortable not big and clumpy you can feel the
gear changes grip nice on pegs waterproof great all rounder will last for years.
Avoid these shoes unless you want a broken toe or a foot injury.
I was involved in a low-speed collision with a cyclist, where my left foot striked the cyclist's bike causing my middle toe to break with severe bruising and swelling around the top of my feet.
These shoes do not have any decent reinforcement around the toe area and quite frankly they flex just as much as a normal pair of trainers. I wish I could upload a video showing you how poor the reinforcement is.
Regardless, I went against my better judgement and used these for casual city riding because they look nice and are comfortable hence the 2 star rating rather than 1. However, these should not be advertised as having toe reinforcement because they are simply rubbish at protecting the front and top part of your foot. The "reinforcement" is so thin you can push the upper part of the shoe (above your toes) all the way into the sole using just your pinky. Compared to my Klim Outlander boots (which actually have toe reinforcement), the Falco's are a joke in comparison. I understand there are some compromises to protection/safety with casual boots, but Falco should not be advertising these boots as having reinforcement, I may as well wear a normal pair of trainers in that case.
So let this be a warning to anyone thinking about purchasing this shoe let alone any other casual shoe for motorcycle riding. Yes, these look nice and are comfortable, but, you WILL injure your foot at some point wearing these. I didn't even come off my bike when I collided with the cyclist yet I ended up with an injury and broken toe, and the cyclist was unscathed and left without a scratch. And the collision happened at 20mph, so I'm happy I found out now rather than at a higher speed where my foot injury would be far worse.
I also have a pair of Falco Airforce boots (purchased from a different retailer), and the shifter pad on the shoe started wearing away after a couple of months and Falco said they wouldn't offer a replacement or refund for their poorly made 'motorcycle' shoe. I certainly will not be buying another pair from this brand.
Cannot fault Sportsbikeshop at all. They asked me to send the shoes back so they could send it to the manufacturer, and I immediately received a refund even though I did not ask for one. 10/10 service as usual.
Recently purchased and couldn't be happier. Comfortable from day one and as they look smart, wear them at work all day. Great service and price from Sportsbikeshop, would highly recommend.
Very good boot, can feel the grar changes and keeps your feet cool.
These are a very comfortable fit, I usually struggle to get boots due to a high instep and wider foot.
Purchased in February but didn't really use until May.
During a 5 day trip to France the zip failed literally couldn't get one boot done up.
Sports bike shop were faultless with arranging a return and referred the boots to falco, who were also faultless and issued a replacement which then arrived in 2 days!!!
New ones don't seem to have any issue with the zips.
Sometimes a product will fail but honestly can't fault the customer service of both sportsbikeshop and falco.
I chose these so they would have a dual function - i.e. look fine socially. I have wide feet and these fitted me OK, Good grip on the pegs and gearshift. Not really the thing for adverse weather but ideal for social rides when the sun is out.
Tried these on at the Boston store. I suffer from a high instep so find it difficult to find comfortable bike boots. These fit a treat. Really comfy for walking in too. Really recommend these. Seem well made so we will see how they hold up.
Really comfortable from the off (and on) the bike. Wanted a pair of sneaker-type boots for short runs to complement my Formas (also superb boots). Also wanted the side zip for ease of off and on - can't be dealing with laces each time...
Recommended.
Excellent service, delivery and speed from SBS as always.
Bought these for the summer and really pleased with them , comfortable and apart from shins protective . They also have a bit of 'lift' which helps me get my feet down on my KTM.
