Advice & Guides If it feels like armour in your bike kit then the law demands it is actually proper, protective armour. Here's how to tell how effective your impact protection is...
Customers praise the mesh trousers for their comfort, breathability, and effective protection. They appreciate the lightweight feel and air flow, comparing them to not wearing trousers at all. Although sizing varies, the trousers generally fit comfortably, with some customers recommending trying different sizes for the best fit. The trousers come with knee armour, and optional hip protectors are available. Many customers find them perfect for hot weather, providing excellent ventilation and comfort, even during long rides.
The trousers did not feel like they allowed as much air flow as I expected.
The fit on me, was very poor and they looked more like fishing waders than bike trousers.

Bought these as my usual jeans were way too warm for the recent hot weather. Decent fabric, not irritating, lightweight and easy to get on/off. The armour (bought the additional hip as well) is completely unobtrusive and easy to fit. Two heights for the knees but be careful not to put your foot into the armour pocket when getting them on as its very thin. Overall comfortable, practical and great value for money. Only real gripe is the flap over zip fastening which means a full unbuckle to use the loo but guess I'm just used to my jeans. Be realistic in your expectations - these are textile trousers, not air conditioned! There is plenty of mesh to let cool air through when riding and you can feel it but if the air is hot as it has been during the recent heatwaves be prepared for a sweatfest.
Fit was excellent and keeps me cool when combined with my Eclipse 2 jacket. Particularly like the spacious zipped pockets which are useful to carry phone in one and a wallet in the other without affecting the cooling. Belt loops are substantial and I use with a nylon tactical style belt (not provided) although the fit is actually good enough to not really need the belt. Would thoroughly recommend for summer cooling.
Really comfortable trousers that work brilliantly and allowing cooler air to get to your skin, keeping legs and other parts of your body at a temperature that is bearable in 36c to 38c temperatures.
The flat back pockets make them good for 3 hour+ rides without putting odd pressure on your backside.
Zipped front pockets are deep enough to be useful but not too big to be difficult to fish around in for things. Good leg length when sat on the bike and the D30 knee protection is unobtrusive.
All in all a great quality product that are really comfortable and do what they re advertised as doing.
The main reason why I bought these trousers was that I am 6'4" and really struggle getting an extra long inside leg. These are advertised as 36" inside seam and are true to size. The 2nd reason is that I am going on a trip to Spain and Portugal come this September and wanted a light / vented pair of trousers. I have had a couple of run outs in them, in our lovely weather and they are perfect. Light and plenty of air flow through them. Great product and the usual fantastic service from Sportsbikeshop ?
Good secure pockets, long in the leg so they don’t ride up when sat on the bike .
On another plus side I recon they will be ok down to about 12 of our UK degrees
I bought these specifically for summer rides, to go with a Revit Eclipse 2 textile ventilated Jacket, both do exactly as described they let masses of Air through so keeping you cool when riding, also when walking round.
bought the Revit hip armour to go with them as well.
the only downside is the won't go over my Alpinstars Belize boots, luckily they are slim enough to tuck nicely inside with no discomfort.
they do fit over my normal road boots just fine.
Great for warm weather as they allow great airflow to reach the legs.
Like the air flow. Like the lightness.
The trousers are a great fit and arrived on time and were a good price
Tons and tons of ventilation. Comfy, looking good, feel nice. Perfect for the hot summer rides.
Trousers are comfy and breathable in the hot weather , decent for the price
Lightweight, cool and comfortable in the warmer temperatures.
2XL is a good 38 fit.
Well made mesh jeans and a good fit, if a little generous.
These fit just right - as did my previous Revitt mesh trousers which must be 10 years old hence the new purchase. They seem like they will be durable and I like that the pockets seem secure (zips on front and velcro on the back.
Worn them for the first time for a weekend away.
Feel comfortable and with good pockets and a good price. Recommend them
Fantastic value for money, I’ve just returned from a trip to Germany with temps of 33c, air flow was very good.
