Axor Retro Jet - Matt Black / Brown

First off, absolutely exemplary service from SBS, as usual.
The first one I received had torn edges where the visor comes down and rests against it. The second one I received, the visor didn't come all the way down so it didn't do it's job at all. The third one I received the visor was about to tear the edges so I decided enough was enough and returned it. I will pop into a branch to have a good look but will no doubt have to spend a bit more. I am looking for a helmet that looks a bit retro but that can be used everyday if need be, this strikes me as more of an occasional, fun helmet.

For the price this is an excellent helmet, looks superb and stylish and is very lightweight. Visor does a good job up to 60mph, I don t get any faster on my classic bike! Would definitely recommend for a gentle ride in the countryside like I wear it, lots of comments on how good it looks too when stopped for a cuppa.

Very lightweight and low profile helmet. Definitely more for short journeys as not much padding but good fun, cheap and cheerful.

I have one of these as my own helmet and it is so comfortable and light I bought another for my wife!

So light and comfortable. I’ve been biking for 50+ years and this is the best helmet for comfort I’ve had.

This helmet fits and looks great, has the old school look I wanted, as I wear glasses the small visor is great in the rain also plenty of room inside for satnav earphones as well.

Good fit. Easy to undo.

I was sceptical about buying this helmet but I tried it on and it's very comfortable and looks great. I ended up buying two of them for myself and my wife. The price was also pretty good. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking to buy an open face helmet.

Bought during the sales, mostly for the DGR in May. It's Jan now, so have not worn it in anger yet, but fits well. It has lost 1 mark as I have noticed that where the visor meets the pleather trim on the side of the cut-out, the trim is already damaged. Still, for the price I am pretty happy.

Good quality product just right for classic motorcycles with a functional visor that enhances the products safety features. Size is true so no going up or down to suit.

This is a quality and well made helmet at this price point....just buy it, you will not be disappointed.

I've only had this lid for a couple of weeks and I've worn it half a dozen times on short rides in fine weather.
Firstly, let me address how I see this helmet working for me;
it's been built to a budget and I use it as the lid to wear when I'm riding my old 60's Bonneville on sunny Sundays and for local bike meets. typically, these rides are safe and moderately slow on roads I know well.
The helmet itself is super light, the padding comfortable, yet thin and the lining is a non convincing faux leather. I like the compact lining, it keeps the shell size small, so its fits closely around your bonce.
The visor works surprisingly well, but isn't so great if you leave it up at speed. I haven't scratched it yet, but obviously it's quite vulnerable. The strap and buckle system work well and easy to adjust.
The helmet looks great on your head, it's quiet-ish for an open face, and I can wear my glasses without them getting bent. Sizing was a bit odd for me, I have a 60cm head, and I ended up with a medium, which initially was a little tight, but as the padding settled in it seems to fit perfectly well.
In conclusion, this is the helmet for relaxed dry days, perhaps with like minded bikers out on a retro ride,- recreating that 60's vibe.
I would not use this lid for my regular riding or commuting in busy traffic.
It goes without saying the service from SBS in Milton Keynes was excellent as always.
