Purchased to add some more off-roading to my road trips, and took a steer from a sportsbikeshop video. Got the last pair of 45s for a good price ( as a size 9.5-10 with a wide foot these fitted perfectly).
They're incredibly bulky (feels like wearing ski-boots) and while they're designed not to have a lot of flex, there is some - but that's taken a lot of walking around the house to get them to ease up a bit. The toe box is very chunky, so along with being a stiff boot I've had to readjust my pegs - which called for some ebay additions. That's all sorted now and everything works really well on the bike, including riding up on the pegs with the stiff soles. It does mean that if I swap to my regular boots, I need to put the rubber top on the foot rests to get the height right. Now all I need are some in-boot adventure trousers - because getting something over these is likely to prove very difficult.
Haven't tried in the rain yet so don't know how waterproof they are, and if you had to wade in deep water they'd top out as the waterproof seal only goes about 2/3rds up the boot.
