Dainese Blackjack Glove - Dark Brown
Customer Product Reviews
Quality gloves in a retro style
I bought these to replace my Knox gloves which are the short type too. Mainly due to the plastic sliders digging into my palm on long journeys. Being a more simple glove, these Dainese fit the bill for me and more over seem to be a cool enough summer glove but will provide a bit of waterproofing for my hands when it rains. Due to the non existent rain this summer I've not been able to test this out but they have to be better than my current summer rain gloves. My only criticism is that the Medium seems ever so slightly too big for me but I'm being to not notice so much now so will live with them - at least there's room in them if my hands swelled up in the heat!
A very good summer glove
I bought these gloves during a particularly hot spell for a weekend trip off on the bikes, they were perfect! Kept my hands at a comfortable temperature, comfortable to wear straight out of the box and in all honesty they look awesome! I always buy my gear from Sportsbikeshop and haven't had a problem with fitting yet, they've honoured their returns policy on a separate occasion and they price matched on this purchase! You can buy with confidence!
Excellent cafe-racer gloves
First up, exception service. Ordered and delivered. Simple. Perfect. Planning a two week bike trip in the US on HD's. Gloves were purchased to match my Dainese jacket. Yet to test ride, but appear to be perfect summer gloves and fit the brief of looking good, appear well made [in China] and easily fit in your jacket pocket. They will protect your hands from sun burn. If you are planning for a 'get-off' these gloves may not fit your brief.
Firstly, I want to start with a story. My friend had an 'off' wearing these which resulted in his bike splitting in half and bursting into flames. His hands survived with bruising. The leather was worn down fairly and the seam had split. But his hands were still on his arms rather than becoming a red paste on the road. With that in mind, I thought 'Well they do the job fairly well and they'll replace my ageing summer gloves!'. They are comfortable on rides (had them 200 mile in a day, the only pain I had was from my worn grips) and they do give very good feedback. At first they were a little tighter than I am used to but not uncomfortably so. These are soft padded armour rather than the hardened carbon fibre or ABS so there is a larger potential for impact damage. This isn't for those trying to break land speed records. They are more for cruising than coursing. Stunt riders may find use in the feedback from the bars. Feedback increased nicely over my old gloves. And you know they are quality, it's Dainese!
