I picked up a Monimoto through SportsBikeShop, which has pretty much become my one-stop shop for bike gear and accessories, and it’s genuinely one of those purchases I’m glad I made for my Honda CL500. The setup was incredibly simple. No hardwiring, no tearing the bike apart, no complicated installation. Pair the key fob, hide the unit, and you’re ready to go. What really makes it stand out is how practical it feels for riders. The bike knows when your key fob is nearby, so you don’t get constant false alarms while moving it around yourself. But if the bike moves without you? Your phone rings immediately. Not just a notification buried under apps. An actual phone call. Then it sends you the GPS location of your bike. I also love the smaller details. You can name the asset you’re protecting in the app, and there’s a sleep mode for when the bike’s at a garage or workshop so you’re not getting alerts every five minutes while someone’s servicing it. The app is straightforward, the battery life has been excellent, and the whole thing quietly does its job in the background. Tiny device, huge peace of mind. It’s basically like having a silent security guard watching over your bike while you get on with life.
