I've been using the Weise Hydra original jacket & trousers year round for a while now, but needed to downsize due to weight loss. Was able to reserve two sizes to the Leeds SBS store to try them on, which was a good experience. The jacket looks and feels very premium, and is significantly lighter and thinner than the original Hydra. I appreciate the zip cuff closure, as the old velcro had separated on my original Hydra jacket. The connecting zip to the trousers works well, and is easy to fully connect each day without problem. I was initially concerned about the rating of the ZRO armor, but after speaking to the manufacturer I was satisfied that it performs on a par with some level 2 armor. Overall I'm really happy with how this looks, feels and performs. No issues with the waterproofing yet either, though we've not had a proper deluge yet to be fair!
