I’m a 30 inch leg 38 waist individual and I went for XL and the over trousers go over my bullit motorcycle jeans that have knee and hip protection in they also go over my Daytona gortex boots. I got caught in a 30 minute shower and stayed dry. For summer riding into autumn I think they are great to put in rucksack if I was riding though winter every day probably buy something more expensive.
