I originally bought the Oxford Hardy 1.0 and it was the style I was looking for with a great discount! Unfortunately SBS did not stock the correct back protector and I was unable to find one online and so I returned it and swapped for the 2.0. Although more expensive the 2.0 is very similar in appearance to the 1.0 but AA rated with Level 2 armour. Both upgrades over the 1.0 and worth the extra. I would admit the 1.0 has a slightly better look and feel to it. I guess as it is 70% cotton vs the 50% in the level 2 which makes it slightly less flexible and maybe the 2.0 will not age in the same way. The 2.0 is also wider at the cuffs in my size at least, which for me is a positive. Worn at up to nearly 30c temps for approaching a 2 hour ride with vents open and thermal liner removed and all good. Zips onto jeans easily with the Oxford belt mounted zip. Only negative I just noticed price is now reduced. From what I have seen so far Oxford products are great quality and vfm.
