OK, the good....... These are very well made as you must expect from this price point. Seemingly all of the safety features tick all of the boxes. The fastening system is well thought out and has lots of adjustability. The shank (leg) of the boot is very plush and soft.......However.......
The bad....With the 'included' insoles these are hideously uncomfortable, these are very thin compressed felt type material and are about 2mm thick (see pics). The footbed itself is just too flat across the entire sole of the boot and arch - actually there is virtually zero arch support at all, and for someone like me with quite high arches, my foot was in torture when walking around the house. Not something I have experienced with any other (cheaper) boot. This maybe down to the flat steel bar that is visible under the hard plastic inside the sole (see pic)?
Purchasing my own insoles, the wearing of them becomes more tolerable.
Sizing does actually run small. These are a Euro 41 with an insole measurement of about 263 x 86mm.
So, are they worth it? Price wise, to me, on the whole, no. At this cost, I would have expected a more premium, flawless experience. It's very disappointing to me that I have to add my own insoles, at extra cost to make them wearable.
This is very much a case of 'try before you buy'.
