I bought my bike almost 30 years to the day since I sold my last one when the kids were young. As a returning rider who is a bit rusty on road craft, I wanted a jacket with higher visibility than black leather.
This Oxford textile jacket has been great so far bearing in mind that I am happiest on a country road at 40 to 50 miles an hour. Clearly not the product for a top end sports bike rider but just a job for me. Definitely a jacket to be seen in.
The jacket has two separate internal layers that can each be removed in warmer weather. There are air vent zips almost everywhere and a large pocket at the rear which I assume is to carry the internal pieces if you get too hot and want to take them off during a ride. I haven t used the rear pocket for that yet but it has been handy for carrying a croissant back from the bakery. Who needs panniers?
