This jacket definitely worked better than I expected.traveled to Wales last week in some horrendous weather the wind and rain was biblical. The jacket never let a drop of moisture in and I felt completely warm no wind blowing in any gaps. I would say go up a size that’s what I needed to do . Even if you find the jacket may be slightly big the adjustable straps around the jacket work really well to make the fit better and this leaves space to add an extra layer if needed.
