An innovative, functional & stylish range of motorcycle gloves from Rev'it
MotoGP derived kangaroo leather gloves with double TPU palm slider
Supple goatskin summer gloves with ventilated fingers and hard knuckle protection
Ladies goatskin and cowhide glove with tricot liner and carbon knuckles
As we all know this summer has been a belter . So much so I felt the did for some vented summer gloves. There was an article in ABR magazine featuring 22 pairs of summer gloves. The Rev'it Cayenne Pro were pretty the best on test. Fantastic build quality, great air flow and very good protection. At £139 they're not cheap but they're so well made I suspect I will be using for a good number of years to come.Read more
Good idea, imperfect execution
I would actually give these a 3.5* rating if that was possible. I bought them because they matched 3 criteria: protection with hard scaphoid & knuckles armour, perforations for summer use, and long-ish cuff that can be worn under the jacket sleeve. For this, the gloves would get 5 stars. They're a good fit; the goat leather on the palms gives just about a perfect grip once curved on your hands; they let in exactly the right amount of air to keep my hands from sweating; and the armour is well placed and reassuringly sturdy. The problems come mostly from the poor quality of the assembly, which is surprising to see in a Rev'it product. The upper (gauntlet) half of the glove is made of some kind of fake leather that looks cheap and plasticky. I don't know what Rev'it were thinking when they selected this material. The two gloves are not perfectly symmetrically built; a question of millimetres, but enough to notice. The inside seams in the thumb area are chunky and brutally harsh, and leave deep marks on your hands even after a short ride. The inside seams at the tips of fingers are also noticeably harsh. Finally, on both gloves the pinkie is too long, which makes for a weird feeling when you grip the handlebars. After break-in, the natural curve of the gloves makes this feeling subside a bit. As others mentioned, these gloves do require a longer break-in period than (my) other gloves, which for me was about two weeks of daily use. As always, excellent service from SBS.Read more
Fab summer gloves
I bought these after trying lots of gloves at SBS retail store. They're now my go to gloves for everyday riding - a good fit, well made, with good (but unobtrusive) armour which gives good feel on the bike. On colder days I go all old school and wear silk lining gloves under these to keep the cold out.Read more
