Disappointing Salopettes

The Salopettes are well made as you’d expect from Weise. They provide good insulation and help keep heat in. I’ve yet to test them in the wet. The gusset and zip arrangement is well thought out for preventing water ingress.

However they’re not well designed overall. You have to put them on before boots. The expandable section at the bottom won’t go on over boots. The braces do not have detachable buckles which means you to take them off your shoulders if you need to answer natures call. Female riders would need to do this anyway.

I find these design features disappointing at the price point and wouldn’t buy a pair again.

Does what it’s supposed to, shows up better than a hiviz in the dark, also water proof and has lining so helps to keep water / wind off the torso.
I’m a 42” chest and with RST pro series ambush M, L/xl was too small so exchanged it for 2xl/3xl and fits nice, not snug but not loose.

Great trousers, definitely waterproof, bought with the jacket, had a few days of very heavy rain, well commuting to work,
on flooded main roads and dual carriage ways.
Had to order size up, as needed as over trousers, and true to size.
4 stars because, 1 thermal liner, fastener, at ankle has pulled off.
and not easy to hanger in locker as no tag inside, other then 2 very small ribbon loops that you can not get your finger in to open.
Small thing but as use daily is a pain.
But main thing is they do not leak and are warm.

A great winter jacket, I commute to work on my bike, all weathers.
As we know, not everything that says waterproof is!
But 5 starts for this Weise Ozark jacket and trousers,
I have just had 4 days of heavy rain, traveling for 30mins each way, on flooded duel carriage ways, not one leak.
very impressed, very good fit, had to go up a size as over clothes
I like that I can do up the collar easy, some you just struggle
I have weise Leathers very good, why I tried these.
