Caberg Helmets

I must have spent a good 6 months looking for a helmet replacement for my aging Duke 2. I've always had Caberg so I wanted to try something new. But nothing at any price point fits me better than a Caberg it seems.

So for the Tourmax X, I would say it's mildly higher on wind noise than the Duke 2. This might be caused by the peak as I'm yet to try it without. I was missing the alternative short screws to run it without the visor, but SBS wasted no time getting those from Caberg for me. Amazing service as always. It also came with a damaged pinlock which, again, SBS replaced in just a couple of days.

All flip-ups are noisy, so I can live with that. Ventilation is good but not too breezy for winter riding either.

Caberg flip-ups have a much shorter cheek padding area than most, which is great for comfort, but does make me wonder how that would play out in an impact. That being said, it has a 5 star Sharp rating, something that can't be said for many helmets much more expensive.

I love the price point. I can have 2 or 3 of these for the same price as a single Shoei or Schuberth.

It's worth noting that, although this helmet is basically identical to the Duke X but with a peak, it has the advantage of coming with a Pinlock 70 rather than a 30 on the Duke X. The difference in visibility between the two is huge, so it's well worth paying the extra for the Tourmax X even if you don't want the peak.

This is my 3rd riviera, original was white, 2nd matt black and I must admit this is the best looking one. Great fit, medium, and a very well finished interior. Light and comfortable for daily use, great helmet!

Top product to replace my old visor received it a day earlier than stated very pleased & not for the first time.

Cost and the quality of the helmet

Okay, so it’s not fibreglass, but in every other way, it’s really good. If you’re gonna be hypocritical, the Matt finish shows grease spots. This is a bargain no ifs or buts.

Bought a replacement visor from the preston store, they didnt have one in stock. Paid at the till and arranged a home delivery. Received within 2 days and fits perfectly.
