Excellent instructions and there's a video online at R&G but unfortunately it didn't run. The bungs seem good quality and using the drill bit I also bought I got through the fairing with no problems. Haven't crashed the bike yet so can't comment on the protection value.

R&G standard round crash bobbins use de-embrittled high-tensile steel bolts which are designed to bend on impact rather than to shear or snap.
