Every time you put your hand in a glove, it should be passing the CE label that shows it's been tested as protective kit. We'll show you how to understand what it's telling you...
Bought in the winter for use next summer. I went for large after measuring my hands and they fit well. Fitting system is excellent. Great to have the visor wipe. Very much looking forward to using them.
Always impress with lightening speed delivery.
Looking forward to using these throughout the summer months appear comfortable and well vented from the start. Have owned two previous pairs of Held gloves very satisfied with their quality but had to go up one size in these. Very speedy service from Sportsbikeshop
Bought in SBS sale middle of winter so not used in summer! However, suberb fit and comfort out of the pack, so I know they will feel like a second skin once after a few uses. Bought for the additional protection offered by the kangaroos palm. Although not used on the bike yet, I put them on in a cold breeze and it was immediately obvious how well vented they are having had a couple of pairs of vented gloves before.
Perfect fit and ultra comfortable straight away, no tight spots. Well designed and solid construction, good quality as you would expect from Held. The ventilation seems to work well. Overall very pleased.
Very comfortable. Haven't gone down with them, but they feel robust and are CE certified. Very breezy.
Now theyve been worn a few times there really comfy perfect for the summer
Nice gloves. The slightly long thumb seems to be a common issue and does make using the indicator switch, etc a tab clumbsy. Also, I find the seams on the inside of the gloves rub a bit on a long ride. I've taken to wearing some thinsulate silk inner gloves to alleviate that but this makes the gloves feel a bit tight.
If you can live with the mad sizing of the thumbs then they're an excellent glove. Comfortable, well vented and great protection.
From the start I want to mention that the -1 star is for the sizing. I have no idea how Held does the sizing to their gloves, especially the length of the fingers. On this glove, the pinky is waaay longer than necessary and there is seam on the inside that i do not think should be felt that much, it gets a bit uncomfortable after a while. BUT, if you manage to get the sizing right and your hand fits on what Held is producing, then this is a great glove, at a good discounted price. The leather feels excellent, being kangaroo, the tactile feel is awesome, knucke protection looks solid and overall look of the glove is really cool. Last thing I would like to mention, there are 2 velcro closures, the one on the wrist and a smaller one at the cuff. As far as i understand from the way it's made and the size, the cuff is supposed to go over the jacket because otherwise, the velcro and glove cuff are in a bit of a weird position. SBS service top notch as usual.
I purchased these pair of Held gloves on sale from SBS because I was impressed with the quality of their gauntlet gloves also previously purchased from SBS. I selected these gloves because I wanted a pair of short cuffed gloves that had similar protection features from their racing gloves. The gloves arrived within a week which was awesome. Just looking at the gloves, it had all the protection that I was looking for in a pair of short cuff gloves however after closer examination I found two minor defects/issues. The first issue was two small holes appearing in the left middle finger due to stitching error. It looked like there wasn't enough leather overlapping each other to complete the seam. The other minor issue with the gloves was that one of the thumb length was longer than the other. The extra material in the right thumb did not affect myself as my bike does not have extra functions/buttons to operate (e.g. rider modes, traction control, etc.). One thing to be aware of when considering these gloves is that the strap that tightens the gloves might restrict the wrist's range of motion during riding (experience may vary from rider to rider). Overall, the gloves were very well made and the sizing was pretty spot on. Unfortunately I can only give the gloves a four star due to the mentioned setbacks/issues.
I reached out to SBS regarding the defects found and they were very understanding of the situation. SBS's response was quick and professional. After a few email exchanges with the SBS staff on how to proceed, they were able to send me a replacement pair of gloves at such short notice. Greatly appreciate the awesome service from the SBS team! Looking forward to future purchases with them
Great for sunny days. Perforated leather - so obviously not waterproof - creates a nice breeze keeping hands cool when riding.
The thumb is a bit longer than normal - only a slight annoyance as occasionally it catches the horn when going for indicators.
Very good quality and comfortable from the start but a little snug . Leather is supple and should only take a couple of uses before being a perfect fit. Fingers are right length and not too long like most makes of glove a refreshing change
Great quality summer glove, not had the chance to wear them as yet. Fit is a little small and as earlier reviewer mentioned, thumb seems to be longer than normal. Overall, feels like a quality product from Held.
In recent years and after 40+ years of motorcycling I've started to try different brands.
These Held gloves are up there if not better than anything I've had before, That includes gloves from Alpinestars and Dainese. The fit is excellent and I used the size chart on the website. I did read one review about bad seams and the thumb being long but I haven't got any of those issues. The are so supple and build quality looks first class.. if your already looking at these gloves then I would highly recommend them.
Quite cool in warmer weather.
The fit is similar to my other held gloves. My thumb doesn't always sit at the end of the glove, which can make using the indicator/horn button a bit awkward. Was noticably tight initially around the base of my index finger, but got more comfortable after breaking in.
First 'short' cuff summer sports glove....... & first product from Held.
I do like a supple & good quality glove. Have purchased sports gloves from 'Racer' brand before with kangaroo palms which have been very good & the quality & kangaroo leather used un the Held gloves easily matched that of the my Racer full length gloves.
XL size fitted well with a comfy supple feel Just what you need for sensitive feel when riding a sports bike. All round Protection very good with Titanium plate protection across knuckles.
I did purchase these gloves at a discounted price so I am very pleased with my purchase & would thoroughly recommend them to anybody wanting a quality made & comfortable sports gloves that tucks inside your jacket sleeves.
Excellent summer glove with plenty of protection, yet airy and breezy through the soft, perforated kangaroo leather palm. This is my best fitting glove yet. Love both Held and SBS!
