Spidi Frontier Water-Repellent Textile Trousers - Black

These were a long shot for me - I was looking for some touring trousers that could cope with hot climates and still be comfortable to ride and walk in - I originally wanted the Klim Marrakesh trousers but the sizing was all over the place to get ones that fitted it meant they were really baggy. So I looked at alternative materials to the Klim and these were fairly new in the market with no reviews. i talked direct to Spidi factory people via a chat format on their website and they were helpful with fitting details and materials used. I ordered from SBS because I trust them. I toured in them to Switzerland last year and all good - great venting, great comfort. I would worry about protection in a long slide but Spidi assures me they will stand up to a slide at legal speeds. Only slight niggle is I would have preferred Belt hoops so I could wear my own belt as the adjusters dont really cinch the waist up enough - i have had to add a pair of braces to help out BUT i have lost weight this year so I will try again without. They are only shower proof (on the basis they would dry quick in the wind) but I wear waterproof overtrousers if it becomes wet. Leg zips are a bit counter intuitive but do help with airflow a little.
