Klim Induction Pro V2 Textile Jacket - Stealth Black

I bought the Klim Induction Pro V2 (in High Rise / White) to replace my 2025 version, purely because I have lost weight and needed a smaller size. There was nothing wrong with the old one, so I knew what I wanted when getting a new one.

This is not my everyday jacket (well, it is at the moment in the current heat wave!) but it isn't meant to be. It is a proper hot-weather jacket. In that role, it is absolutely outstanding.

With the recent UK heatwave, this has been a godsend. It flows a ridiculous amount of air, far more than a normal touring jacket with vents, and once you are moving it makes hot weather riding much more bearable. It is also exactly the sort of jacket I would want for touring in hotter countries, where a normal textile jacket can quickly become miserable.

I also have two Klim Marrakesh jackets, which are my go-to preference for outright comfort, but on the hottest days, nothing comes close to the Induction for airflow. It's literally see-through!

Being white is also a big plus. I think it looks smart, but more importantly it does not feel like wearing a black bin bag in the sun!

The quality is exactly what you'd expect from Klim. It feels well-made, the fit is good, the collar is comfortable, and the stretch panels stop it feeling stiff or awkward. It is light, comfortable and easy to wear, but still feels like protective motorcycle kit rather than a flimsy mesh top.

It also comes with Level 2 D3O armour as standard in the elbows, shoulders and back, which is excellent. I have personally upgraded mine to D3O Diablo Level 2 limb armour and a Rheon back protector, because that is what I now do with all my jackets, but you absolutely do not have to. The standard armour is already very good.

No, it is not waterproof. No, it is not a cold-weather jacket. That is not the point. This is for the days when staying cool is the difference between enjoying the ride and wishing you had stayed home.

TL;DR: For hot UK days and touring in warmer countries, this is about as good as it gets. Expensive but genuinely brilliant.

I tried 7 different 'summer' jackets on at SBS from different manufacturers and 5 of them had arms that were more suited for a gorilla, god knows who these are modelled on. Eventually I found this one 'off the peg' in the showroom (just my luck it was almost twice the price of the others) and as soon as I put it on you could tell the difference in quality and fit. It allows a fair amount of air through which was more noticeable in the arms and the goatskin leather is really soft. It also comes with a back protector which is removable. So far I am really liking this jacket and the arms are just about the right length (and adjustable straps for a tighter fit). Expensive .. Yes ..but to be honest it is worth the extra money.

There are moments when you pick something up and are truly impressed by the craftsmanship and the thoughtful details that make you think, « I want everything I own to be like this from now on. » This is exactly what this jacket made me realize. It’s incredibly light, offers excellent protection, and the pockets are strategically placed. While it’s not inexpensive, if you find it at a good price, it’s a fantastic buy.
